Chesney Anderson didn't know anything about wedding venues or getting married but we had a venue in our family for generations. My mother ran it until she passed away unexpectedly and I was left to make people's wedding dreams come true.
With it nee...

The next morning I woke up with Chesney in my arms and it just feels right. I had no idea she would come home with me last night and sex was the last thing on my mind but we both are so attracted to each other that we can't keep our hands to ourselves.
I just laid there with her in my arms wishing we could spend the day together this way but the alarm went off and she opened her eyes and smiled at me.
"Morning Chesney."
"Morning Stone. I need a shower care to join me?"
"I would love to."
I followed her into the bathroom and got the water going.
Once in the shower I handed her the soap and smirked. "What is your excuse for being here this time?"
"Umm, I missed Cotton."
"Do you think your brother is dumb enough to believe that?"
"Maybe." She laughed.
After we got dressed she headed home to change and I headed on over to the venue to start working on the door.
It wasn't long before she pulled in and Whit was standing at the door talking to me and she smiled.
"How was it sleeping in the big house alone?"
"Excuse me?" Chesney laughed.
"Clay spent the night or did you not notice?"
"I guess I didn't notice. Plus he always leaves before me so I didn't have a clue." She said.
I smirked over at her and laughed.
"Well let's get some bills paid and other things before preparing for another wedding."
"We have a Wednesday wedding this week and then one on Saturday too," White said.
"Oh great, I am already panicking." Chesney laughed going into her office.
I worked on the other door frame since this was a double door and after I finally got the new frame in I went to get the doors that Hazel picked out.
I had them leaning up against the truck and shook my head because they were ugly.
I think Chesney needs to see these. I walk inside and to her office and lightly knock.
"Do you have a minute?"
"Sure why?"
"Well your mom picked these doors out and bought them and when I pulled them out I realized how ugly they are and you might not want them for the front doors."
"That doesn't sound good." She laughed.
We walked out and her mouth dropped when she saw the purple doors.
"What in the actual hell?"
"Yeah, that's what I say."
"We can't use those Stone. We need white doors."
"That was my thinking. Go with me?"
"Yeah let me grab my purse and tell Whitney where I am going."
"Ok, I will load these back up then."
I got it strapped down and got in the truck and waited on Chesney.
When she opened the door she made a face. "Who wants the eggplant emoji color purple as a door when you go into a venue? What was she thinking?"
"She wanted it to pop." I chuckled.
"How do we always end up together?"
"It's that magmatic pull Chesney and sounds like we got away with this morning."
"Yeah, apparently Clay spent the night with Whitney so he has no idea I wasn't home."
"It's between you me and Cotton." I smiled over at her as we pulled up.
I got a blue float and loaded the ugly doors and we headed inside.
"There is your girl." She whispered.
"She might not speak or flirt now that she has seen you twice."
"If not I can lay it on thicker." She grinned.
We got a refund and then walked back to the doors and Chesney picked out the perfect set of white doors that will fit in the spot.
We walked up to the register and of course, that girl had to be the only one that was at the register.
Chesney clutched onto my arm as I pushed the blue float up to the register.
"Hi Stone."
I just looked at her and she rang them up and she eyed Chesney up and down but didn't say anything. I figured a kiss on the cheek wouldn't hurt.
I kissed her cheek before I handed the money over to the cashier. If steam could have come out of her ears like those old cartoons it would of.
Chesney took the receipt from her and we walked out to the truck.
"That was fun Stone."
"It's nice to feel taken for a while." I smiled at her opening the passenger door.
"Is that a fact?" She smiled.
I couldn't help myself I leaned into the truck and brushed my lips with hers.
She kissed me back and smiled when I pulled away.
I loaded up the doors and got it secure before heading back to the venue.
"I bet Dwight have lunch made for us."
"I am really beginning to like that guy."
"Yeah now that you know that he doesn't like me Stone."
"Ok, so I was a little jealous about that. I am glad that he doesn't like you like that but it doesn't bother you that he likes me?"
"I think he likes messing with you Stone. He sees how it makes you uncomfortable and sometimes your face is red."
"Shit and I had no idea that even happened." I chuckled.
We pull in at the venue and we walk in and to the kitchen and Dwight smiles. "Hey, big guy! It's lunchtime."
"Thanks, Dwight." I smile looking over at Chesney.
"What's on the menu today Dwight?"
"Grilled chicken salad and I made a cherry cobbler."
"So a nice healthy salad and then a bunch of carbs in a cobbler?" Chesney laughs.
I love the way she laughs. Hell, I love everything about her but she is so timid about love and getting close to people I can't just come on too strong.
Dwight places the food in front of us when Whit comes and sits down.
"Thank god you guys took those purple doors back."
