Today I am back to work and brought Sadie with me. It's probably way too early to be back to work but I need to be here to help Whit.
Right now Sadie sleeps about most of the time so I am able to get caught up on bills and help Whit with wedding planning.
Whitney walks to my office to check on Sadie and now is the time to go over what we have open wedding-wise.
"Can you grab the wedding book Whit?"
"Sure want to pick a date?"
"Thinking about it." I laugh.
She comes back with the book and lays it on the desk and turns to the opening pages.
"How soon do you want to get married?"
"Well I mean I need a dress and so will you if you will be my maid of honor."
"Oh gosh Chesney I would love to!"
"Do you have any colors?"
"I'm thinking of a lighter green color for the dress color for you and the same color bow ties and of course a white dress for me."
"Then let's see what we have open. Umm, the next opening is next month the 20th which is a Saturday."
"I don't even have to ask Stone because he is ready for it." I laugh
"Ok, I'm going to put you down and we just need to go one evening after work and either take Sadie or leave her with the guys."
"They can handle it for sure. Maybe we should invite Bonnie to go with us?"
"She would love that Chesney. I have never seen her so happy before."
"I love Bonnie she has taught me so much and I was so afraid to be a mother after the mother I had."
"Well, you are doing a great job if no one has told you already."
"Thank you, Whit." I smiled.
Sadie started to cry and Whit got her out of the bassinet for me and I waited until Whit closed the door and then I begin to breastfeed her.
I grabbed her little bunny blanket and placed it over top of her in case someone was to walk in.
I wrote the 20th down and circled it so I could talk to Stone about it.
I was burping Sadie when my door opened and Stone walked in.
"Hey there you! I just had you on my mind."
"You did? Well, I am glad I stopped by. I wanted to see my two favorite girls."
"I just got her to burp. Would you like to hold her?"
"Of course, I would." He smiles coming around the desk to take her into his arms.
"So I wanted to talk to you about something. Whit and I came up with a wedding date."
"Oh lay it on me, sweetheart." He laughed kissing Sadie's head.
"The next available date is next month Saturday the 20th are you ok with that date? I already put our names down."
"Hell yeah, I am down." He smiled.
"So one evening Whit and I need to dress shop and you and Clay can keep Sadie."
"I think we can handle that."
"I have picked colors. Would you be ok with a light green for bow ties and Whit's dress?"
"Whatever you want is perfect with me Ches. Do you think it would be ok if I ask Turner to be my best man?"
"Yeah, and I will have Clay walk me down the aisle."
"Well, I think we can get it all done in a month. We will get flowers on the arch from Loretta."
"Yeah, I need to go to her shop and see what kind of flowers I want." I smiled.
"Mom asked if we would stop by after work she made dinner. I think she secretly wants to see Sadie."
"Of course she does but we get to eat delicious food and I am starving."
"Let me get her in her car seat and I will get her buckled in the car."
"Ok I am going to lock this stuff up and we can go."
We made it to their house pretty quickly and Stone came and got Sadie's car seat out and carried her into the house.
Bonnie came running into the living room and over to the car seat and took the cover off of Sadie.
"There is my beautiful girl. Get her out Stone I want to hold her."
"We know that's why you invited us over mom. We are chopped liver now."
"No that's not true but she has changed so much in a week's time."
Stone got her out of the car seat and even though she was asleep Bonnie was kissing her all over her face.
We sit down to eat and Bonnie put Sadie in the bassinet she has for her so we could eat.
"Mom this food looks delicious."
"I know how much you guys love my spaghetti." She smiled.
"She has grown so much in a week but she is all, you Chesney." Alan laughed.
"She really is but she does have Stone's lips." I laugh.
"At least she got something of mine," Stone smirked.
"Oh, we set a wedding date." I smile.
"You did? When?" Bonnie asked.
"The 20th of next month it's a Saturday was the next thing we had open and so I took it."
"Oh that's wonderful I am excited." Bonnie smiled.
"Whit and I were hoping you would go dress shopping with us, Bonnie."
"Oh, I would love to go with you!"
"Clay and I will keep Sadie." Stone smiled.
"Can you keep her alive? I may need to come over to make sure of it." Alan laughed.
"Thanks, dad you have no confidence in me."
"It's just an excuse to see my granddaughter."
"You don't need an excuse Alan you can come by and see Sadie whenever you want."
"How has she been at work with you?"
"Right now she sleeps so she's not a handful yet." I laugh.
"Well, whenever it becomes too much bring her to her grandma I will be glad to keep her."
"Thank you, Bonnie." I smile over at her.
