Things are falling into place. We just got Sadie down to sleep and she was worn out with everyone holding her today.
I walked to the bedroom and Chesney was sitting up with that journal in her hands.
"Going to read that?"
"Maybe a page or two. I put it down while pregnant and I don't want to be upset but I have decided I won't let her get to me."
"I like your way of thinking." I smiled going into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I got in bed beside her and turned to face her.
"I love you Stone. Thanks for keeping Sadie today."
"We had fun and dad held her the most. He is in love with that little girl."
"Just wait until she gets older they all are going to be wrapped around her little fingers."
"Us too Stone."
"I love you Ches!" I lean over and kiss her lips.
"I can't wait to marry you. We don't have much longer. I just need to talk to Mrs. Loretta about flowers. Do you want to choose them with me or pass?"
"I will pass. You can pick whatever you want."
"I didn't think you would. Whit is going with you guys to make sure you get the right colored bow ties." She smiled at me.
"So what is she saying?"
"Umm, she felt me kick and wish that she didn't. I quote I wish I could stab the baby every single time it kicks. It's ruining my body."
"What in the actual hell? That woman had a lot of issues Chesney. Where did she come up with your name?"
"My dad did. He loved Chestnuts and he would call me his peanut while she was pregnant and that's how he came up with it."
"Well, I think it's very beautiful Chesney." I lean in and kiss her lips.
She smiles at me and kisses me again.
"I think it's time for you to put that nasty book away and let's get some sleep. I know a cute little baby who will be waking us up soon."
"I think you are right about that Stone." She slipped it into the drawer and moved into my arms and laid her head on my chest.
It wasn't long until her breathing evened out and once I knew she was asleep I started to doze off when Cotton jumped up on the bed.
I scratched his head and dozed off to sleep.
It didn't feel like we had been asleep long when Sadie started crying through the baby monitor and I felt the bed dip as Chesney got up to go breastfeed her.
I feel bad that I can't get up and help her with this but she doesn't expect me to.
I rolled over and went back to sleep but felt when she snuggled up to my back.
When the clock went off I got up and got a shower and put my work clothes on and then stopped in to check on Sadie and she was still asleep.
I went to the kitchen and started the coffee and then got Cotton out his food that he was impatiently waiting for.
Once the coffee was done I poured a cup and took one sip before Chesney walked down the hallway into the kitchen.
"Want a cup sweetheart?"
"Yes please." She smiled.
"I checked on Sadie but she was still asleep."
"Yeah so did I. I thought maybe I could get this cup in with you before she starts screaming." She smiled.
"Taking her with you today?"
"I had planned to Stone but we have several couples coming in today so I hope she sleeps and it all works out."
"If she doesn't call mom and she or dad will come and get her."
"I have them on speed dial." She laughed.
Right on cue Sadie started crying and I followed Chesney to her room and when she cut the light on Sadie calmed down.
She picked her up and went over to the rocker with her and begin breastfeeding her.
"Do you want me to pick out her outfit Ches?"
"Sure the little bunny one that's in the front that's yellow."
I grabbed the outfit and sit it on the changing table along with a diaper and socks and a cute headband with a big flower on it.
We do everything bigger in the south and I swear some of these flowers are bigger than her head.
"What are you smirking at Stone?"
"These ridiculously huge flowers."
"But they make her look so cute Stone."
"I can't deny that. She sure is a beautiful baby because she looks like my fiancée." I smiled.
"She has your lips." She giggled.
"I am going to hear that for the rest of my life. Your daughter is beautiful like her mother but she has your lips."
Chesney giggles and picks Sadie up burping her.
"I can dress her if you need to go get ready Ches."
"Thank you that would be great. I have to be there at 8 am because the first couple should be there and I like to help Whit all that I can."
"Did you give her a raise?"
"Oh yes, I did. I gave her a five-dollar raise and a bonus often."
"That's sweet of you and I think she is finally moved into your mom's old place but she wants me to fix some things up so it doesn't look the same."
"I can't blame her there. Do you have time to work on it?"
"Oh yeah I just finished the work at Clay's gas station that he wanted and so yeah I need to go over and get estimates and I will probably stop by the venue to give her the estimate if you don't mind."
"Of course, I don't. I love seeing you. Ok, I am going to go shower while you get her ready."
She kissed my lips and handed Sadie to me. I kissed her little cheeks and laid her on the changing table to get her ready for the day.
