Chesney Anderson didn't know anything about wedding venues or getting married but we had a venue in our family for generations. My mother ran it until she passed away unexpectedly and I was left to make people's wedding dreams come true.

Clay had asked me to look at rings with him today and I couldn't wait. I am so excited that he wants to marry Whit.
Good thing she is only renting moms house because she will be moving into the house with Clay before you know it.
He came to the house to pick me up and we headed to town.
"How is my little bunny this morning?"
"She was great. Enjoying daddy and Cotton time." I laughed.
"God I'm nervous."
"Don't be Clay. We will find the perfect ring and she will say yes. Have any idea how to propose?"
"No I am stumped do you have anything sis?"
"She loves the fountain. You could do it there." I smiled.
"That's a good idea."
We pulled up at the jewelry store and a man greeted us. "What can I help you guys with?"
"My brother is looking for an engagement ring." I smiled.
"Fantastic! Right, this way."
We followed him over to a glass case and he begin pulling velvet containers out that held rings.
We looked in silence at the rings and nothing really caught my eye yet.
He pulled out two more containers of rings. "Ooh what about this one Clay?"
The man puts his hand over his mouth. "Are you Clay Anderson?"
"I am." Clay smiles.
"And I am Chesney."
"You took over your mother's wedding venue didn't you!"
"Yeah, I did."
"I am sorry about your mother she was a tough customer." He laughed.
We just smiled because we were tired of defending that horrible woman.
"Clay I like this one. Is it in your price range?" I whispered.
"Yeah, it is." He smiled.
"Well if not Stone gave me some money to put with it."
"Oh sis that's very nice of you guys but I can get this."
We asked to see the ring and once Clay had it in his hands he smiled. "This is it!"
The man laughed. "Can I see your ring? I remember who bought this."
"Then you know my husband." I smiled.
"Stone Travers!"
"You would be correct." I laughed.
"I make it a habit to never forget the rings that go out of here."
We followed him to the front of the store and checked out.
Once back in his truck I looked over at him. "Why don't you do it this week? Pick a day and be out at the fountain and I can ask to go check if it needs a tablet and you come out from behind the arch and get on one knee?"
"I like the way you think sis. I didn't have anything in mind and I don't want to take her to dinner or do it at home and definitely not at mom's house."
"Then it's set just let me know the day. I can even have Dwight make up a cute picnic for you guys."
"Thanks, sis this means everything to me."
"You mean everything to me, Clay. You always have and I am just looking out for you like always."
"I told Stone a little bit about growing up after dad died. I hope you aren't mad."
"I am not mad. I tell Stone everything and even if I have forgotten some things. Maybe that's my mind's way of forgetting them until I read it in that devil journal."
"Read anymore?"
"Not lately. Every time I do it makes me so mad I can't see straight. I love Sadie with all that is in me and I couldn't imagine hating my own baby the way she did me." I sigh.
"Maybe it's best to throw it away."
"Yeah maybe."
We pull up at the house and I see a nice black SUV in the driveway. I look over at Clay and he is smirking.
"Who is here?"
"I have no idea sis."
"Where the hell is my car?" I ask.
"That I don't know either." He laughs.
We get out and Stone is sitting on the front porch with Sadie in his arms.
"Stone where is my car?"
"Right there."
"Where?" I look.
He pointed at the SUV. "That is my car?"
"Yeah, I decided you needed a bigger better car to carry Sadie around in so with Clay's permission I traded it in for this Denali for you."
I couldn't help but smile. I walked over and kissed him before walking back to look at the inside.
"Where do you think I got the money for the ring?" Clay laughed.
"You horses ass and here I was going to give you money."
"I didn't take it did I?" He laughed.
I opened the door and it was all leather inside and so nice. I have never had a new car before.
"Oh, Stone I love it!" I smile.
"I am glad you do Ches. You aren't mad at me for being sneaky?"
"No, not at all." I smiled.
"Let me stay here with Sadie while you two go for a ride." Clay said.
"Are you sure Clay?"
"I am positive sis so go!"
Stone handed Sadie over and I got behind the wheel and Stone got in the passenger side and we backed out of the driveway.
"Wow fancy even a camera to show me when I'm about to back into something." I giggle.
Stone chuckled. "I wasn't sure what to get you but I had my eye on this Denali for a couple of weeks and so I stopped in and asked about trading your car in after I talked to Clay."
"I love it and when she gets bigger we will need more room for sure."
"That's what I was thinking Ches."
"How much do you want to bet that Clay is in her bedroom talking to her about her bunny collection?" I laughed.
"I asked him about them things and he says he has a guy that brings them in who comes to his store that he will never run out."
"She will definitely need more shelves then Stone."
