*Another pic of Patch to the side.

"A criminal? You're kidding, Winny! How could you let a criminal near my brother?" Michael asked and I sighed.

Why did I have to blurt out things in time of pannic? I shook my head and sat down again.

"I didn't let him near Jonas. I mean I did, but it wasn't my choice. You see, he just walked into the house. He oppened my window and walked into the house in the middle of the night. I couldn't kick him out, Michael. He would kill me, literally." I said and Michael shook his head.

"Why didn't you call mom and dad? You know that you could've called the authorities? You could've called me!" He said and I sighed.

I remembered that Patch told me not to call them. That's how we made the deal in the first place. I didn't want to admit what it had taken for me not to call the police.

"I'm sorry, Michael." I told him and he threw me another glare.

"Sorry doesn't change the fact that you let a criminal into the house and near Jonas! Sorry doesn't change the fact that Jonas is actually begging to see him! You know what, Winny?" He asked me and I stared at him, not bothering to answer.

He continued anyway and rolled his eyes, retreating back to take Jonas with him.

"Sometimes, I think I'm the older one." He said and openned the door to Jonas' room.

That hurt, but I knew that it was all my fault. I shouldn't have gone with the deal in the first place.

♡♡♡

Four months have passed since the quarrel between Michael and I. Yeah, we're good and we also agreed not to tell mom and dad about it. I mean Patch was gone from our lives forever and we know that we were safe now.

Well I hoped.

Today was my first day of school and as always I laid low. I mean I wasn't the most popular girl in school. Okay, I was a nerd.

Actually, I was a loser.

My dream was always to see a band I loved to listen to so much, The Sirens. I know it was lame to fantasize over meeting a girl band, but hey a girl could dream right? I mean they were all so pretty and rockstars at the same time. I know what you're thinking.

No, I'm not lesbian.

I proceeded to take a seat in my new classroom and was shooed away from it, before I switched seats to the back.

Someday I was going to show everyone that I wasn't such a loser. Maybe it was the reason I had agreed to Patch's deal in the first place.

After this (thankfully) last year of school, I was going to show everyone what I could do and that it doesn't matter weather you're popular or not. But right now, I was sort of lonely.

Maybe I did want to live, maybe I didn't want such a boring life, reading and fangirling over all the books on my shelf.

I did have to get it out of my head though. I was going to be a loser til I graduated and there was nothing I could do about it, but suck it up.

Maybe meet the Sirens after I graduated. That was obviously a maybe.

"Okay, class please settle down. We have a big and new school year planned ahead of us and with that we also have a new student." Ms. Walt said.

I looked above from my notebook, doodling and gasped to see who it was.

Patch Peters what were you doing in my school? Didn't the police catch him by now?

I laid my head down, pretending to be busy with my drawing and relaxed. He probably forgot about me. I mean it was four months ago, and what would he want to do with a loser like me?

"Birdy, that you?" I heard from the front and all eyes were on me.

Oh hell no.

I ignored their gazes and started to sketch on my notebook. They'll probably stop, once they don't know it's me. I mean Winny is so far from Birdy.

"Umm, I'm sorry mr. Peters but we do not have a uhh Birdy in this class. Maybe someone you know?" Ms. Walt said and looked around the classroom.

Patch nodded and smiled, looking at me again. He looked at the ceiling to think and snapped his fingers when he got it.

"Weenie, right?" He said and the whole class tried holding in their laughter, before bursting out theit laughter.

Yeah, Birdy was a lot better.

"Class stop, settle down! It's actually Winny, mr. Peters. Common mistake." Ms. Walt said, batting her eyes.

Common mistake? Would anyone in their right mind name their child after a hotdog? By the way, did ms. Walt just give him googoo eyes?

"Ahh, Birdy it is." He said and walked to the seat next to me.

That, everyone is how Patch Peters single handedly transformed me from laying low, to being the class laughing stock.

"How've you been, Patch?" I asked him with a sour smile.

He gave me a smirk and shrugged.

"Better. Nice to see you again, Birdy." He said and gave me a mock salute, winking at me.

Welcome back to my life Patch?
