Lyric and Melody were stretched out on Lyric's bed. Lyric listened intently as Melody retold her the event's that had happened last night. “Oh my God, did you tell the cops all that?” “Yup, sure did. I think Heather stepped way out of her league this time.” “Yeah, but if she wasn't in the truck or the one who throw it, how is that going to get her in trouble?” “Don't know, that's for the cops to figure out.” “Well, if it's left up to Sheriff Butts no one will get in trouble.” “No, that's the great thing. Detective Donner took over and Sheriff Butts went home.” “Well, that's good.” Lyric said and took a sip of her diet coke.

“Have you ever met Detective Donner?” Melody asked. “Umm, no. Just moved here, remember?” Melody giggled, “Oh yeah forgot. I know he's like way older then us but he is the most good looking guy in Bay Heights. I mean he looks at you and you just want to do everything in your power for him to not stop looking at you, know what I mean?” Lyric rolled her eye's, “Gross, if he's way older then us why would you want him to look at you? That would just kind of make him a perv.” “No, he's not like that. He's a really nice man. He doesn't stare at girls like old man Knots does. Now, he's a perv.” Both the girls giggled and said, “Gross.”

Just then Melody's phone rang, “Hey Mom, what's up? Oh, okay. Hey is it okay if Lyric comes?” Melody hung up the phone and said, “Mom needs me to come home. We all have to go to the pizza house and see just how much damage there was done. Mom said it was okay if you came, want too?” “Well, duh. Are you kidding?” They both took off downstairs to ask Andrea if it was okay. “Yes it's okay but if that storm starts coming in I want you home. Understood?” Lyric told her mother that she understood and both girls headed out the door for Melody's house.

Koda stood inside the glass door and whined as she watched both girls run down the street. Andrea rubbed Koda's head, “I know girl but we'll go for a long walk on the beach later.” Andrea curled back into the chair with the book she had been reading earlier, “Just let me finish this chapter and we'll go.”

As Melody and Lyric walked up the driveway to Melody's house, JaCoby was climbing into the car. “Hey wait for us.” Melody shouted. They got to the car and climbed in the backseat with JaCoby. “Hey, mom, dad, this is Lyric, my friend I was telling you about last night.” “Nice to meet you Lyric.” Maria looked back and said. “Nice to meet you guys too.” Hank then started the car, pulled it out of the driveway and headed towards the pizza house.

When they pulled in front of the pizza house you really couldn't tell that there had been a fire. With the exception of the tarp hanging over the broken window, everything looked pretty much like normal. However, when you walked inside the store, the smell of smoke was overwhelming and you could tell from the looks of things that the shop would be closed for weeks until the damage was repaired.

Lyric felt really bad for Melody and her family. She just couldn't understand someone doing this just because they had been called on for their bullying tactics. However, Lyric knew Heather was more then just a bully, she was evil. Lyric interrupted her own thought's and asked, “So, have they found out anything new? Concerning who and why they set the fire that is.” Hank answered her, “Detective Donner called earlier this morning and said they knew who did it and if thing's went well charges would be pressed no later then tomorrow afternoon.” “Well, that's good.” Lyric said because she couldn't think of anything else to say.

“Yes it is good.” Hank said and clapped JaCoby on the back. “Dan Tanner's crew will be here shortly to start the renovations so that we can open back up and get back to work.” Hank added. Just then Dan Tanner pulled up. “Well, speak of the devil.” Maria said and chuckled. As Dan walked into the pizza house, he greeted everyone. With pleasantries out of the way, Hank got down to business. “So, what have you got me?” “Damage isn't too bad because you got the fire out pretty quick and it didn't reach the kitchen. However, there is some water damage.” Hank interrupted him, “I already know that stuff Dan, just tell me how long it's gonna take to get her up and ready for work?” Dan chuckled, “We're looking at maybe a week, 2 at the most.” “Well then, let's get it started.”
