With school finely over Melody and Lyric walked over to Melody's house to ask her mother if it was okay that Melody stayed the night over at Lyric's. Lyric had called Andrea on the way over to ask if it was okay if Melody spent the night. Lyric had sold the deal saying that Melody's mother would be at the hospital with JaCoby. They got to Melody's house and went inside. Melody hollered, “Mom, you home?” “I'm up here in your brothers room,” came Maria's reply. Both girls headed up the stairs to JaCoby's room and found Maria packing a bag.

“What'cha doing mom?,” Melody asked. As Maria put a couple of more things in the bag she replied, “Your brother is bored stiff so he asked me to bring him a few things. Hi Lyric, how are you doing today?” Lyric smiled and answered, “I'm fine, thanks.” Melody chimed in next, “Mom, I know it's a school night but since you'll probably be at the hospital with JaCoby would it be okay if I stayed the night at Lyric's? She already call her mom and she said it would be okay. Pleassssse.” Maria looked at both girls then back at Lyric, “You sure she said it would be okay?” “Yes ma'am. You can even call her when she get's home to confirm if you want,” Lyric told her. “Well, I guess it's okay then but I will call your mother later,” Maria said. Melody jumped towards her mother and hugged her saying, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”Maria laughed and hugged her daughter back.

Lyric and Melody ran to Melody's room to pack an overnight case. Maria stuck her head inside the door and said, “If you girls hurry I'll drop you off at Lyric's on my way to the hospital. I'll wait for you downstairs.” Melody throw a few more things in her overnight bag and they both headed downstairs. They all three climbed into the car and Maria backed out of the driveway. “The doctor say's your brother is doing good, might even be able to come home a couple of days early,” Maria smiled. “That's great mom. Lyric said her and her mom is going to cook dinner for all of us after he get's home.” Maria looked in the rear view mirror and said, “That is really nice of you both but you don't have to do that.” Lyric replied, “It was my moms suggestion, so she won't take no for an answer.” Maria laughed and pulled to a stop in front of Lyric's house. Both girls got out of the car and as they ran to the front door shouted over their shoulder's, “Thanks and tell JaCoby to get well soon.”

Lyric unlocked the door and they both headed up the stairs towards Lyric's room. Melody throw her overnight bag on Lyric's bed as Lyric let Koda out of her crate. Koda headed down the stairs immediately and was waiting at the door when the girls came downstairs after her. Lyric opened the deck door and Koda shot out like a streak of lighting. Melody laughed and said, “Guess she has to go bad.” They laughed and followed Koda outside. They each took a seat in the patio chairs and watched Koda hunt for the perfect spot to do her business. Melody spoke first, “Okay, we're at your house now so cough up this business about you being able to just know things.” Lyric looked at Melody and said, “Let me have your hands first.”

Melody looked at her shocked and asked, “Why?” Lyric huffed and said, “Just give me your hands if you want me to tell you.” Melody stretched her arms across the table and Lyric took her hands in hers. Lyric set there in silence with her eye's closed until Melody pulled her hands back and said, “Okay this is creepy. What if someone sees us? They would probably think we were lesbians or just plain weird.” Lyric laughed and because she liked what she saw she said, “Whenever I touch someone or something they have touched I see that persons thoughts and feelings. It's called Clarsentience.” Melody looked back at Lyric, “What? Clar.....what? Okay, your not crazy are you? I have never heard of such a thing.”

Lyric sighed and said, “No, I'm not crazy. It's call Clarsentience.” Lyric then spelled the word out for Melody then told her to hang on a second. Lyric ran to her mothers room and got the book that Andrea had showed her the night Andrea explained it to Lyric and then ran back outside on the deck. Lyric thumbed through the book and found the part that talked about Clarsentience and turned the book around so that Melody could read it. After a few minutes of reading Melody looked up from the book and said, “Okay, this sounds like intuition.” Lyric replied, “It is, but with people like myself and my mother there's a little bit more to it. We don't just get gut feelings about people, we actually see their thoughts and feelings. Think of it as a movie of sort's. When I held your hands before I seen flashes of your thought's and feelings. It's not a complete movie like one you would watch on TV but just flashes of scenes.”
