Lyric and Ethan declined Andrea and Donner's offer to drive them to the theater and decided to walk instead. It was a nice day out and they wanted to enjoy it. There was a slight breeze but the sun was shining and warm. This also gave them time to talk and get to know each other better. Ethan loved the sound of Lyric's voice, it soothed him just to listen to her talk. It was like music, it glided over her tongue and through her lips like a birds song, not whiny and critical like Heather's. Lyric was smart too and loved to talk about everything under the sun, not just about herself and what she wanted. Lyric was concerned about other people, animals, and serious issues but she was also funny and enjoyed laughing and goofing off. When Ethan watched and listened to her he felt a sense of pride, concern, enjoyment, and freedom. Not only did he fell these things about her but she also made him feel these things about him.

Lyric noticed how Ethan looked at and listened to her. He also seem to make eye contact and she liked that. She didn't really trust anyone who refused to look you in the eye. She had also noticed that he genuinely cared about Sugar and Koda and as far as she was concerned, people who didn't like animals had no place in her life. She understood some peoples fears of some animals but when you just didn't like them or hurt them she thought there was just something wrong with those types of people. Lyric didn't know a lot about relationships but one thing she did know was that two people had to get along and genuinely care and like each other. And if either one raised a hand to the other one that was an immediate deal breaker. She didn't know how she knew this, because she had never been in that type of relationship, but she just did and she was going with her gut instinct on that.

Another thing she liked about Ethan was that he was very considerate and thoughtful. Lyric thought JaCoby was some of these things too but Ethan just had something different about him. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but there was something different about him. As they walked up to the theater they looked over their choices of movies. The Vow, Hunger Games, Abduction, Winnie the Pooh and Parental Guidance were playing. Ethan said, “We have an hour and a half before The Vow starts. Hunger Games and Abduction starts in 30 minutes. What would you like to do?” Lyric looked at him then asked, “If it were just you want do you want to see?” He smiled at her and replied, “Well diffidently not Winnie the Pooh and I don't think I'm really feeling Parental Guidance but the other 3 I could deal with. Of course if we wait for The Vow then that means I get to spend another hour and a half focused on just you,” He grinned at her.

Lyric laughed and said, “Okay then, let's go down to the candy store and buy some Russell Stover caramels for the movie later. That and diet coke are my only two vices. So speaking of vices what are yours?” Ethan thought for a moment then replied, “Well since working at Kate's I think I've developed a real liking for Eddie's bacon cheeseburger's. God, I know there unhealthy but they are just really good. I like to box too.” Lyric glanced at him and said, “You box? With your hands or kickboxing?” “Both actually,” he replied. “Maybe you could teach me?,” Lyric said. “I could teach you but I won't hit you. I'll use a bag to demonstrate though.” Lyric laughed and said, “Well that's good to know.” They got to the candy store and Lyric filled a bag up with chocolate covered caramels, payed for them then they left the store.

As they walked out they ran into Melody. “Hey, what are you guys doing?,” Melody asked. “We just came up here to get some candy before our movie started. What are you up to?,” Lyric answered. “Oh nothing. Just doing some shopping. Got bored at home so I decided a needed to spend some money on myself. What movie are you seeing?” “The Vow. We better head back before we miss the start of it. I'll call you later.” Lyric said. Melody waved goodbye and watched them walk away. Oh brother, JaCoby was not going to like this and how could her best friend go out with the guy that helped start the fire that almost burnt down the pizza house? And what about Donner's house, wasn't Ethan there by himself when it started? That just didn't seem right she thought as she walked down the sidewalk towards the pizza house.
