As Heather and Tessa were going to sleep, the sirens woke Lyric, Melody, Andrea, Donner and Ethan. Each of them, in their respective house's, went to their windows and watched as fire trucks blow by their house's. Ethan hoped it wasn't more of Heather's doings, Donner hoped no was hurt and Lyric, Melody and Andrea was glad the trucks were leading away from town, which meant it wasn't the pizza house again. After the commotion everyone went back to bed except Donner. Donner put in a call to the station.

“Tally, this is Donner, what's going on with the fire trucks?” “Automobile fire out near Conner road. Fire chief said it looked a little fishy but they'll have to investigate more to find out for sure. Said he'd get back to us.” Donner breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Thanks Tally and by the way have you still not heard anything from Sheriff Butts?” “No, but that's not to unusual for him if he went fishin for a few day's.” “Okay, but if we don't hear nothing from him by the end of the week we should check it out farther.” Donner said goodbye and if Tally needed anything to be sure and give him a holler then went back to bed. But before he could get back to sleep his phone rang.

Grudgingly he answered it, “Hello.” He waited a second and got no answer then louder, “Hello.” “Oh sorry, you sounded kind of grumpy and I thought of just hanging up and calling back tomorrow before you said hello again.” At first Donner hadn't recognized the voice but then by the time she said grumpy he knew who it was. “Hey Andrea, what's going on?” “Oh nothing, just heard the sirens and thought maybe you would know what's going on.” Donner knew that was not why she called but said, “Just a car fire out on Conner road. Now, do you want to tell me why you really called?”

He could hear her sigh over the phone. Andrea knew Johnathan hated her ability to see things that were going to happen so she answered, “Gee, can't I just call to see how your doing once in a while?” Donner laughed, “Sure, but does it have to be at midnight?” “Sorry, I didn't realize how late it was. Um, go back to sleep and I'll talk to you some other time,” Andrea said and hung up the phone. Before Donner could replied she had hung up. Donner knew she had not called just to see how he was doing, something had been on her mind. He may not be precognitive, he relied on his gut, and his gut told him that something was up with her.

He laid there and thought of her, he hadn't realized how much he missed her. He missed her laugh and the way her eye's would light up when she did. He missed the smell of her hair and skin as she laid next to him. He missed the sound of her voice, how it was like the music of her soul. He continued to lay there and think of her until his phone rang again. Thinking it was her he picked it up and said, You can call me anytime you like, no matter the time or reason.” “Um, thanks boss I will.” Donner nearly throw his phone but instead replied, “Tally, what do you want?”

Tally laughed and said, “Sorry boss but I thought you might want to hear this. The car fire was actually a truck belonging to Ethan Toliver and it was set on fire purposely.” Donner set up in bed, “How do you know it was Ethan's truck and why was it set a fire purposely?” “The night that I had picked him up at that rental house his truck was there. We had left it there because I had no way of bringing it back to the station, didn't think there was any reason to bring it back either. Fire chief said that there had been paper all over the inside of the cab and that it had been a flame but didn't stay lit. What blow was the back of the truck where the gas tank was. Don't know why, just know how it happened.” Donner took a breath and said, “Shit. Thanks for letting me know. I'll see you in the morning.” Donner hung up his phone.

Ethan had asked him earlier on the drive home from the gym if they could go get his truck. He had told him that they could pick it up in the morning before he took Ethan to work. Damn'it Donner thought, if they had picked it up that night maybe it wouldn't have happened and he wouldn't have to tell Ethan he no longer had a truck. Donner pulled the covers back and got out of bed. He slipped on a pair of pajama pant's and walked down to Ethan's room. Donner peeked in before knocking in case Ethan was asleep, Ethan was awake laying on the bed rubbing Sugar's belly.

Ethan looked up at Donner and asked, “Something wrong? I heard the sirens go by and it woke both of us up.” Donner came the rest of the way inside the room and set down on the end of the bed. “Yeah, woke me up too,” Donner sighed and then added, “Those fire trucks were headed to a auto fire out on Conner road.” Ethan didn't catch on at first but then he set up in bed and asked, “Where on Conner road?” Donner rubbed his face then said, “The rental house you were hiding out in. It was your truck Ethan.” Ethan swung his feet out of bed and stood up, “Son of a bitch, how the hell did my truck catch on fire?” Ethan started to pace around the room and Sugar jumped off the bed and started to whine. Donner rubbed her head and said, “Fire chief said it was set ablaze on purpose.”

Ethan yelled, “Set on fire on purpose? Who the hell would do that? Son of a fucking bitch. Whoever the hell did this is going to pay. I bought that truck with my own money. Now what the hell am I suppose to do to get around?” Donner let him pace and curse, he needed to get it out but when he picked a chair up and throw it Donner stood up. “Ethan I know your upset but throwing my furniture around is not going to make the situation any better. We'll find out who did this. Did you have insurance on the truck?” Ethan looked at him, “What the hell do you think? I was barely able to pay for it.” Donner shook his head, “I'm sorry Ethan. We'll figure it out. I know your upset but you need to try and get some sleep as do I. I'll drop you off at work tomorrow and see if they have found out anything more.”

Donner then turned and walked to the door, when he turned around he said, “Please don't brake anymore of my furniture.” Ethan looked at him and replied, “I won't brake anymore of your furniture but when I find out who did this I'm gonna brake their neck.” Donner shut the door and headed back to his room. Damn, what the hell was going on in his little town. Things were going to hell in a hand basket real fast. Donner thought these things and more before finely going to sleep.
