Melody watched as her parent's shook hands with Ethan and acted like nothing had ever happened. She knew that Ethan just drove the truck but still she didn't think it was right. She hadn't said anything to JaCoby about running into Ethan and Lyric and she was glad he went home earlier. She didn't think he would like what she just watched either. Damn'it, things were going so good. She thought her and JaCoby could have forgiven Ethan but now that he and Lyric looked like an item she just didn't know now. As she rang up customer's and took order's she watched them, they acted like one big happy family.

After everyone was pretty much done eating Lyric asked to be excused for a moment so she could talk to Melody. Lyric approached the register and waited till Melody was finished ringing up an order then asked, “Melody, can you take a quick break for a couple of minutes?” Maria had overheard Lyric's question and said, “Let me take over the register, you go take a break.” Lyric and Melody stepped outside. “Melody, are you upset about something?” Melody shook her head and said, “No, not really. Well, yeah maybe I am a little.” “Melody, were friends and I would never change that no matter what. Just tell me what it is and I promise we can work through it.” Melody stood fidgeting for several moments then said, “I just thought you liked my brother and now it looks like your dating Ethan and he helped start the fire and before you say anything I know he just drove the truck but still he was there. I just don't understand.”

Lyric reached out and took a hold of Melody's hands, “I do like your brother, as a friend. I think you both are the greatest friends in the world and I don't want to lose either of you. Real friends are to hard to find and way to easy to lose. And as far as Ethan is concerned, we just went to a movie. Officially we are not dating yet. Ethan made a horrible mistake and he will live with that the rest of his life but he is a good guy. He is truly sorry for what he has done and he is trying to rectify that mistake. If he just choose to ignore you and your family and what he did, he would not really be sorry for any of it but instead he came here with us and apologized to your family, to me that says something about is character. Please just give him a chance.”

Melody listened to every word Lyric spoke and she knew deep down she was right. “You need to talk to JaCoby. He really likes you and I just don't want him hurt. He may be my brother and sometimes a pain in my rump but he doesn't deserve to be hurt.” “I totally understand what your saying and I never intended to hurt your brother. I was planning on talking to him tomorrow. Your brother is a great guy and I'm sure someday he will find someone that will appreciate his greatness. Heck, you all are great people. Even Ethan said that.” Melody looked at Lyric, “He said that?” Lyric nodded. “Then why did he do what he did? I just don't understand.” “Maybe someday you should ask him,” Lyric said and hugged Melody. Melody hugged Lyric back and said, “You really are a good friend Lyric and I'm really glad I met you and maybe I will ask him later.” They both smiled at each other, hugged again and went back inside the pizza house.

Across the street and down the road, just out of sight, Heather set in her car and watched Lyric and Melody and said aloud to herself, “Oh wasn't that sweet.” God she hated people and their lovey dovey shit. Why the hell were they in there acting like all was great when Donner's house burnt, while she set in her car miserable? She wanted their lives to be as miserable as her's was. Setting the fire's was exciting but obviously it wasn't enough. Heather set there trying to think of things that would wake them up and take notice. One way or another they were going to notice her and she was going to make sure of it. However, tonight she was tired so she started her car and headed for home. After she had slept maybe tomorrow she would be able to think of more way's to hurt them like they have hurt her.

Tessa and Kalista set in Kalista's bedroom talking. Tessa had told Kalista everything as Kalista, wide eyed, listened intently. “Tessa, you need to tell someone and not just me. Heather is going to end up really hurting someone.” “I know but I don't know what to do. I bought that stuff for her. What if I get sent to prison for doing that. God, I am so stupid.” Kalista rubbed Tessa arm, “Your not stupid. You just got caught up in Heather's sick little game but unfortunately it's not just a game anymore. She is dangerous.” Tessa stretched out on Kalista's bed, “No shit!!!” “Seriously, we need to tell someone.” Tessa set up, “We, as in you and I?” Kalista looked at her, “Well, yeah, I guess.” “If there is two of us telling them the same story then maybe they'll listen,” Tessa said.
