Rui's POV:
"Worst birthday ever!" I yelled. I walked over to my bed and felt like passing out. I mean, you'd do the same in my shoes! My mom forgot about my birthday, my dad didn't come home all day and still hasn't, no one wanted to spend time with me, I failed my math test, what else do we need!? I have no one... I slowly closed my eyes trying to sleep when it hit me. "Oh! Why don't I go to The Sunshine and Happiness Committee? They always have something to do!
I walk into the large building to see a large crowd of people. I wonder what they are looking at. I can't tell. I walk over to the front desk. "Are you here for the concert?" The receptionist asks. "No?" I replied looking at the crowd. "Leo/Need?" I raised my eyebrow in confusion. "Yeah, Their really good! Unfortunately..." Her sentence trailed off and her calm expression turned into a sad one. "What?" I turned my head to her. "One of the band members brother went missing a little while ago. No one's knows where he is. No one knew she had an older brother." The receptionist looked down and then back at me with a smile. "But what can I do for you?" She took out a clipboard from the side. "It's my birthday today and... it hadn't been the best." I rubbed the back of my neck and felt tear slowly warm down my face. "We have a room for you!" She said in a happy voice. She walked me down a hallway with several doors. It was really unnerving. It's like they never take care of this place! The lights are flickering and dimmed, there are bugs everywhere, and black mold on the ceiling. What the hell.

"We're here!" She smiled and opened the door. It was a nicely-cared-for room with a bunch of party decorations.

"Do you like it?" The lady asked. "It's nice. A little unsettling..." I shivered from the cold and fear of randomness. "Wait will you?" She asked. I nodded in response. She closed the door and I heard her footsteps get farther away. I decided to sit down at one of the tables in front of me. (The first red one on the left) I looked down at my phone. It was glitching out for some reason. 'Maybe if I just let it be for now?' I thought. I placed my phones on the table and stared into space.
