Once everyone finished having dinner, all students went to their respective rooms, Aikou being the only one who got a space of their own so she could be under supervision in case her health worsened. During the nighttime, everyone was sleeping so calmly. But Aoi was struggling and moving violently in her sleep.
"No... please... no..." Aoi murmured in her sleep over and over, and even some tears were streaming down her face
Aoi was dreaming. She was standing in an empty room, alone. The walls were made of wood as if it was an old and destroyed Japanese-style house.
"W-where am I?" Aoi asked while looking around, confused. Insects were climbing through the cracks in the walls, and a cold breeze rushed through Aoi's body, causing a shiver to run down her spine.
She could hear the wind whistling as it passed through the room. It made her feel unwell. Her legs were trembling in fear. She felt a knot in her throat due to her desire to scream for help.
"You should recognize this place~" Said the reflection who appeared standing right in front of her. Her appearance was the same as always, but she looked like someone you could touch. Aoi had several flashbacks of how cold the reflection's touch was the day she wanted to take over her.
"What?" Aoi asked confused but knowing exactly what she meant
"Can't you recognize that corner?~" The reflection asked
Aoi looked in the direction she mentioned, confused since the room was empty, but as soon as she looked that way, it was all full of blood.
"N-No... I don't...." Aoi said to herself while she hugged herself. She saw flashes in her head of those exact same pools of blood from her memories
"Don't lie to yourself~ You know this place like the palm of your hand~ Or perhaps you refuse to remember since you have lost your way~ You became weak and soft due to those new friends of yours" The reflection said while she was a little closer than before "Let me help you remember."
As soon as the reflection said those words, Aoi was tied in ropes in that same corner. Her arms were tied above her head, her ankles tied so strongly that the ropes would scratch them. Aoi started to breathe heavily. She could feel her heart pounding. The rough feeling of the ropes all around her body. She moved violently since she had more flashbacks of the last time she was in that position but the ropes would only feel tighter.
"NO!" Aoi screamed "I REFUSE TO REMEMBER!"
"No? Let me give you more help then~" The reflection said and snapped her fingers.
Aoi would then feel all her body in pain as the snap echoed in the room. She would look at her skin and see it was filled with cuts and bruises. She let out a scream so sharp that even her own eardrums ached.
"PLEASE STOP!" Aoi screamed while she closed her eyes to handle the pain
"Hmmm~ This is necessary, you have to remember. Or else you will lose your goal~" The reflection said, and Aoi would feel how her fingers were broken one by one
Aoi looked at her hands above her head and saw explicitly how her fingers got cracked, moving in a horrendous way. The sound of the bones breaking would be so disturbing, yet her screams would be so loud that they were barely heard. The reflection giggled a little.
