It was a new day at U.A. High, and Class 1-A had just settled into their seats, waiting for the lecture to begin.

"Good morning, everyone," Aizawa began, his tired voice cutting through the morning buzz. "As you know, next week you'll be taking your Provisional License Exam. This is your first big step toward becoming pro heroes. The exam will challenge you in ways that reflect the realities of hero work and to prepare, you'll need additional training to meet U.A.'s high standards."

He paused before continuing. "Following Principal Nezu's recommendation, every hero course will participate in a special joint exercise with—"

"ME!" The classroom door burst open with a bang, and a tall woman strode in confidently, her black coat flaring behind her like a battle flag. "Today, you'll be testin' your mettle against me and my crew!" she declared, flashing a devilish grin.

"Captain Boom?!" the class gasped in unison.

Bakugo and Aoi flinched slightly, the painful memories of her brutal training sessions flashing back like a bad dream.

"...I wasn't done talking," Aizawa muttered, deadpan.

"Oh, don't be such a stormcloud, Shota," Captain Boom grinned as she took command of the room. "Nice to meet you all. For those of you who don't know, I'm Captain Boom, leader of the largest hero agency in Japan, Pirates of the City. Like you lot, I studied right here at U.A., so trust me, I know these waters."

"A U.A. graduate?" Uraraka asked, surprised.

"Yes!" Midoriya piped up enthusiastically. "She formed a small group after graduating, and her debut as a hero skyrocketed. She built one of the top three agencies in Japan by the age of twenty-three!"

Captain Boom chuckled. "Looks like someone's been readin' the logs. Good eye, lad. Let me introduce you to two more U.A. alumni: Yoshida Kaito and Hashimoto Rika!"

Two figures entered the room.

"Hey there!" Rika said cheerfully, striking a pose.

"Good morning," Kaito added, more reserved, scanning the class.

"You look familiar," Tsuyu noted, analyzing Rika's features.

Rika grinned and whipped out a can of Sprite-like soda. "I'm Rika Hashimoto, also known as your local street-surfing girl, Lemon Fizz! I'm the official face of Sprite, who proudly sponsors everything I do!" she said, hitting a different pose with every word, clearly hoping someone would take a picture.

"Rika... this isn't an ad shoot," Kaito sighed, using a red tentacle to wrap her up before she could pose again.

"HUH?! But it's my duty to promote—mmph!" she was silenced as the tentacle covered her mouth.

"My apologies for her behavior," Kaito continued calmly. "I'm Yoshida Kaito, also known as the Scarlet Octopus. I'm second-in-command of Pirates of the City. Rika's not part of our agency, but was invited by the Captain."

Rika mumbled unintelligibly until Kaito finally released her.

"Ahem! I was just trying to say that being a hero takes more than rescuing people—it's a lifestyle! they should've taught economics and how to do my taxes here!" Rika said proudly, although the students just blinked at her in confusion.

"You're veering off-course," Aizawa interjected, clearly annoyed.

"He's right," Captain Boom said, turning serious. "We're hosting a special training session to prepare you for your license exam. I can't spoil what's in store, but it'll give you a strong idea of what's comin'. So suit up, all of you, and head to the training grounds your professor marked. We'll be waitin' for you there."
