Mina had been carried away for medical treatment, she was too injured to continue. Aikou, on the other hand, was forced to stay. Just because her quirk had overrun her mental filters didn't mean she was "down," according to the instructors. So, giggling and babbling about "sparkle juice," she remained on Aoi's back, occasionally brushing debris out of her hair.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team regrouped, moving quickly across rooftops to avoid getting caught in Rika's chaotic waves.
"She's way too fast!" Kaminari panted, leaping from one building to another.
"I'm getting tired of chasing her!" Mineta groaned.
"You're literally riding me!" Yaoyorozu snapped, glancing back at him, clinging to her with his sticky quirk.
"And yet, I still feel tired," Mineta mumbled.
Aoi, while scanning ahead, narrowed her eyes. "It's weird. She's not exactly escaping..."
"Wait, look over there!" Ojiro pointed. In the foaming wake of Rika's fizz tsunami, Tsuyu was swimming right behind her, agile and determined. Even more surprising, Hakkotsu followed as well, riding atop a massive skeletal shark, her fingers gripping its ribcage tightly. Her hollow eyes were fixed on Rika, emotionless but focused.
"Oh-ho!" Rika called out standing on her custom surfboard, grinning. "Let's test how mobile you kiddies really are!"
Suddenly, the fizz-wave condensed beneath her, forming a towering spiral. Tsuyu and Hakkotsu were lifted skyward with it, clinging on, but before they could catch her, Rika evaporated the entire structure in an instant. The two plummeted in disbelief.
"Buh byeeee~!" Rika laughed, still hovering in mid-air using propulsion blasts from her board, Kaito slumped over her shoulder. He groaned, barely conscious.
Tsuyu reacted fast, shooting her tongue to grab Hakkotsu mid-fall. Before either could hit the ground, Midoriya appeared in a burst of green lightning, leaping between buildings with powerful bounds to catch them both.
"As if I'd let you regroup that easily!" Rika growled, snatching Kaito's sidearm from his belt and firing. A bullet grazed Midoriya's leg making him grunt in pain.
"Not today!" Aoi shouted, her chains whipping through the air and used her quirk to stop the bullets mid-air so that they would not hurt anybody. And while doing so, a bullet passed right next to her face. She froze for a moment. Strong flashbacks came back. Rain. Blood. Cops. The reflection started laughing inside of her head.
Rika's eyes snapped toward her. "Oh-ho, so you are still playing!" she said, making her words bring Aoi back to reality.
Aoi shook her head with strength trying to ignore it, and refocused on the fight.
Hovering above them, Rika pulled a large, fizz-charged cannon from her gear and took aim. "Let's see how many of you I can pop like bottle caps!"
Spheres of compressed carbonated water fired at high velocity. Each one hit the rooftops like grenades, shaking the buildings' structure with explosive fizz.
