Napatingin ako sa pintuan ng Cafe noong pumasok si Xander at Jill. Xander's arms enveloped around Jill's shoulder while they are laughing. They looked really comfortable with each other. My heart ached at the sight.
Nagtama ang mata namin ni Xander. He looked at me with his poker eyes. Mabilis akong nag-iwas ng tingin at nagyuko ng ulo. Nagkunwa akong busy sa mga paper works ng Cafe.
"Sam,follow me on my office."seryosong boses ni Jill ang kumuha ng atensyon ko.
Noong gayak na aakyat na si Jill sa office niya ay nauna pa si Xander sa kanya.
"I said Sam,are you Sam?"Jill mocked.
Tumigil sa pag-akyat sa hagdan si Xan at bored na nilingon si Jill.
"Since it concerns me,I need to hear your conversations."
I heard Jill tsked.
What do he mean that it concerns him? Alam na ba ni Jill? Nakaramdam ako ng kaba.
Umakyat na sila. I followed them upstairs. I feel so anxious.
Jill is sitting on her swivel chair while Xander stand beside her. They are both looking at me with their brooding eyes.
"What do you want to talk with me?"hindi ko na natiis na itanong kay Jill.
"You only have one month to stay in my Cafe."
"A-re you firing me?"I stammered.
"Sort of."she confirmed.
Humalo sa kaba ko ang panlalambot. Hindi ako pwedeng mawalan ng trabaho.
"W-hy? I need this--"
"Stop worrying Sam. Hindi kita tatanggalin sa trabaho ng walang kapalit. Xander need a secretary. He fired his secretary."
Nakahinga ako ng maluwag. Kung ganoon ay hindi pa niya alam ang tungkol sa amin.
He fired Diana? Why did he fired his sexmate? Baka nagsawa na siya.
"You mean.."nabubuo ang hinala sa isip ko.
"Yah know,I can't say no to this boyfriend of mine. You'll going to be Xander's secretary."
The only thing that registered my mind is that Xander wants me to be his secretary.
"What?!"nabigla kong bulalas noong makahuma.
"What's with the violent reaction Sam?"Jill asked me.
"N-othing.."
"Don't you want to be Xander's secretary?"she sounds taunting.
"Yes..I mean no.."nakagat ko ang labi ko.
"You know what Sam..I don't want to lose you but my boyfriend here needs you.."
Yeah,boyfriend..I can hear the sarcasm on my head. If you only knew..
Hinayon ni Jill ng amused na tingin si Xan na nakasimangot na.
"Doble sa sinasahod mo sa akin ang magiging salary mo kay Xander."
Hindi na ako nakaimik.
"I think your silence means yes. Then its settled."Jill dismissed.
Naiwan si Jill sa office niya. Malalaki naman ang hakbang na sinundan ko si Xander hanggang sa makalabas na siya sa Cafe.
"Why the hell are you doing this?! Pinaglalaruan mo ba talaga ako?!"I confronted him.
"What am I doing?"inosente niyang tanong.
"Bakit kailangang ako pa ang gawin mong secretary?!"
"Masarap kang magtimpla ng kape."
