Wheeler
We'd already walked for 30 minutes in silence before I heard voices behind me.
"Henderson mentioned you were a badass but..."
"Dustin said that?" Steve answered. Eddie chuckled.
"Kid worships you, dude. And I'll be honest I got a little jealous, Steve. And not just of Dustin." my heart dropped to my gut. "What's really going on with you and Wheeler? I mean Y/N."
There was silence. I hoped he would lie.
"I mean, there's always gonna be something there. We broke up years ago but...there's just so much history. She and I did way more than Nancy and I ever did. We're also best friends. It's just...complicated."
"Right..." Eddie replied.
Shit shit SHIT.
"You're lucky. I'd give anything for her to look at me like that."
"I thought I told you not to try it?" Eddie chuckled.
"Right."
There was silence once more. I hated myself. I hated Steve for telling Eddie what he did.
"You and Munson huh?" Nancy asked me, bumping my shoulder. I laughed.
"No. Nothing's going on. We're just friends." I prayed he hadn't heard me. But when I turned back and saw the look on his face, it was undeniable he had.
