Chapter 22
Munson
"You're not a coward, and you're not a freak." I furrowed my eyebrows as she dropped her hands to her sides. I didn't believe her. "You're one of the best people I know." she shrugged, looking deep into my eyes, seemingly making sure I believed it. Did I? I looked at her hard. What did she want from me? She was driving me insane and suddenly, I didn't care anymore about what I'd told myself.
"What?" I whispered. "Why are you looking at me like tha-"
I didn't give her a chance to finish when my lips crashed into hers. I closed my eyes tight, blocking everything out as I gripped her waist and pulled her close.
Holy shit.
She began to kiss me back, and my eyes snapped open at her response, breaking the kiss. I covered my mouth with my hand.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, backing away. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry-"
"Eddie-"
"No, I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Eddie!" she took my shirt in her fists, pulling me close to her.
I stopped mumbling, my eyes searching her face. "I'm not." It took her a moment, but she pressed her lips to mine, pulling on my shirt to get closer to me. I wanted her to rip it off of me, with no hesitation. But I let her remain in control. For now. I hesitated before returning my hands to her waist, pushing her until her back hit the wall of the trailer. I let out a grunt involuntarily, trying as hard as I could to not break this kiss.
She was going to be the death of me.
The kissing became more passionate as I ran my hands all over her body, touching every inch of her I could reach. She finally wanted me. She was finally trying to pull me closer even though it was almost impossible to do so. My hands wandered down to her thighs, lifting her up to wrap her legs around me. It felt so natural. I wore her like a belt, and our bodies fit together like a puzzle.
Then I remembered.
She's in control.
I broke the kiss as my hands slid up under her shirt.
"Are you sure about this? I want to make sure you're-"
"Just kiss me Munson." I nodded with a smirk, brushing my lips lazily over hers.
I let my tongue slip across her bottom lip, forcing her mouth to open and let my tongue in as my hands wandered farther up her shirt, resting on the cups of her bra.
Holy shit.
She twisted her fingers into my hair, and normally I hated that. But all I could do was laugh.
"Shit, Wheeler..." I whispered. My hands moved to the back of her bra, wanting so badly to unlatch it. "I've been waiting for this. For you." My fingers twisted around her bra straps, wishing I could rip it off of her here in broad daylight.
She wasn't close enough. I moved closer to her, my hips rolling. It felt good. Apparently she thought so too, letting out a quiet moan. I broke the kiss, staring at her. A thousand images went through my head. Making her feel like this, making her do things like this, without regret. Without anyone waiting for us to come back inside.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." I breathed. she laughed, taking my face in her hands.
"You really need to stop apologizing. And stop talking." I didn't say anything, kissing her again immediately.
"They've taken like 10 minutes!" Steve called out, the trailer door slamming. We jumped, breaking the kiss.
"Steve." She whispered, her eyes wide. I dropped her to the ground and rushed to find my jacket that had somehow come off in the process.
"Come on you guys." Steve said, turning the corner. "Eddie don't you have that magazine from the War Zone?" I nodded, my tongue tied. Was my face red?
"Are you okay?" he asked us both, completely oblivious to the fact that we had just begun to undress each other in broad daylight.
"Yup." Wheeler said, nodding. When Steve turned back to go inside, l let out a snort.
"It's not funny." Y/N said, her face red.
"It kind of is, Wheeler." I brushed my fingers through my hair and hesitantly took her hand in mine. It felt good to hold her simply like this. But she slipped her hand out of mine and followed Steve inside. I tried not to think about it.
