"Come on!!" Dustin screamed as I tossed aside my weapons, leaving them for the bats. This was almost over. Thank God. I began to climb the rope when I heard my name called, and not from Dustin.
"Eddie?" I turned to see Y/N standing in my room across the trailer, her eyes filled with fear. I climbed back down slowly, my eyes never leaving hers. I heard echoes of Dustin screaming my name, but immediately ignored it when Wheeler disappeared around the corner. I followed her quickly, but when I turned the corner I was no longer in my trailer in the Upside Down. I was back in the real world, in the attic of the Creel House. I looked around for a moment before I located her, my heart dropping. She laid on the ground, bleeding out all over the wooden floors. I rushed to her side, not bothering to wonder how I got her. All I knew was she was dying. I knelt next to her, lifting her head onto my lap.
"No, no, no, please..." I broke off as she coughed, opening her eyes. When she saw me she smiled weakly. I couldn't return the favor.
"You found me." She whispered, her breathing labored.
"You-you're gonna be okay, just-" I broke off, holding back sobs. "Someone help!" I yelled. Where the hell was everyone? Did they all just leave her here to die?
"Eddie please..." I looked back at her, trying to help her sit up. "Eds stop, just let me-" I nodded as she broke off, letting her lie still in my arms.
"Please don't leave me." I whispered. She smiled again. Her mouth was filled with blood.
"I'm sorry. I s-should have listened to you." I could tell it was a struggle for her to talk.
"Just lie still. I'm gonna get you help, baby. Just stay with me, please." She shook her head, and a tear rolled down my cheek as I tried my best to breathe through my sobs.
"I love you, Eds." My heart jumped into my throat, my tongue tying at her words. "Left you speechless, huh?" She laughed, then began coughing up more blood. It made me cry harder.
"Please don't say things like that. You're not going anywhere, you don't have to confess anything to me." She swallowed, looking up at me.
"Let go." She whispered as she closed her eyes.
"No. No, no, no, no. Someone help me!!" I screamed. I held her unmoving body close to my chest, closing my eyes as my tears fell onto her. But when I opened them, she was gone. I was sitting on my bedroom floor, holding nothing but air as Dustin shook my shoulders violently.
"Eddie, are you okay??" I shook my head, numb.
"She's gone Henderson." I looked up at him. "Wheeler's dead."
