Chapter 3
Munson
"It was a really good session Eddie."
"I've seen better." Erica butt in, interrupting Dustin's praise.
"Erica!" Dustin exclaimed in reply.
"It's just the facts!"
"I appreciate your honesty, Lady Applejack." I bowed as I opened the door for my party, smirking as Sinclair's sister stuck out her tongue at me.
"Shit, I forgot something." Mike ran back towards the room. I followed Dustin and Sinclair outside, immediately hearing something I thought I wouldn't hear for a few more months.
Someone in this parking lot was shredding Master of Puppets, and they were playing it well. I eyed each car until my eyes finally rested on a black van with a girl on top of it.
Hot. Damn.
Dustin was trying to say something to me in regards to the session, or some shit about how Harrington was pulling up, but all I could hear was her.
She had h/c hair, curled and pulled back into a bun with two pieces framing her face. The more she focused, the more she would try to blow the hair out of her line of sight. It was kinda cute. She wore low waisted ripped jeans with a black crop top and had a blanket wrapped around her. The way she was sitting on the hood of the van showed the dips in her hips perfectly.
She looked and sounded perfect. I had been learning Master of Puppets ever since Metallica released their tape two weeks prior. So I knew better than anyone the only way to learn it was by ear. And she had it down.
Who the hell is that?
When she stopped playing I looked over to see who caused her to quit. Wheeler was running towards her yelling about some flight then hopping in the van.
How in the world did Mike Wheeler get a ride with her?
"Knowing you and the boys I thought I was gonna be here for a while, sorry" She sounded sweet but not fragile. Like she could handle herself. After packing up her AMP and putting her guitar away she glanced over to me, making direct eye contact.
My eyes stayed calm, and even though I shouldn't have, I eyed her up and down. Her head tilted in response. Shit, bad move. I smirked at her in hopes of redeeming myself, but she just picked up her case and got into the van.
Damnit Munson.
"HELLO?? Earth to Eddie??" Dustin's piercing voice broke me out of my spell.
"Hm?" was all I could muster out.
"I've was telling you about the idea I had for-"
Dustin. I don't care.
"Yea yea that's great, who's driving Wheeler?" The anticipation in my voice made my intentions for asking obvious.
"Oh y/n? She's-"
"She's off limits Munson, so don't even think about it." Steve cut in.
I looked to Dustin for an explanation, he was now in the van with smaller Sinclair. She must of read the confusion on my face.
"She's Mike's older sister, got it?" Erica remarked in her normal snarky tone.
"But I thought Nancy was Wheelers sister?" The confusion in my tone was still lingering.
"Ever heard of twins genius?"
Little Sinclair you are a pain in my ass.
"Alright that's enough, let's get going" Harrington spoke up.
As Dustin waved goodbye and closed Steves door, I tapped the top of their car and watched them drive off. I looked back to where her van had been and couldn't help but laugh.
"Y/n Wheeler. Where have you been?"
