Mikey opened the forum.
The user had left instructions to message them directly, and a polite request to keep civil when messaging them.
Mikey clicked through their profile while thinking of a good opening line. He saw that they were currently online.
He looked through a few of their other posts, mostly just art and a few cat videos. The post that brought him here was about a week old.
The turtle clicked on the option to direct message and opened the chat room. He leaned back in the chair and thought about what to say. After a moment or two, he slowly dragged his fingers across the keys.

Mikey had never had someone share an interest with him (besides pizza). His brothers had always regarded any of his interests as stupid. Not that he was any better (Leo's show comes to mind).
He continued to chat with this stranger over shared interests for a while. He failed to notice how the rain had stopped, and how his brothers had entered the room.
Mikey was in the middle of typing how the colors of a dually favored comic really served to express the emotions of each character and that color theory-
"BOO!"
"WAAAUGH!" Mikey's hands slipped on the keyboard and posted his statement with an unfortunate keysmash.
"What the heck, Raph?!" Mikey turned to his brother, turtle brows furrowed.
Raph laughed.
"Did you see that? He jumped, like, twenty feet!"
Mikey groaned and turned back to the computer to finish his conversation.
"What'cha lookin at, Mikey?"
Mikey glanced at Leo, and returned to look at the screen.
"April made me get on this forum website." He read the newest reply from his new friend.
