Missiles aiming for the Devon building were numerous and impossible to counter.
Ash threw Steven and Pikachu to the floor as he reached for a Pokeball at his belt.
'Charizard!' The desperate call was just about enough. Charizard understood. With a roar, he flew.
He closed the distance in seconds. Amazingly, he managed to do it. A burst of dark- blue and compressed flame burst from his maw, vaporizing several jet planes and helicopters.
'Fuck!' Steven cursed aloud. 'Metagross, help Charizard and Mega Evolve!'
'Blast Burn.' Ash was amazed, to say the least.
Mega Metagross was a big help, taking down most air support alongside Charizard. But there was a problem. Particularly, a big one.
'Operatives. Steven, got a gun?!'
Steven was taken aback by the question.
'Why, yes.' He felt that it would be too futile to resist the demand.
Ash took the gun and fired bullets at the assholes non- stop. The said terrorists fell to the ground, but more were blasting.
Although, when a Hyper Beam from Metagross tore through the sky, their reinforcements stopped.
Shortly later, every single one of the insurgents lay dead on the ground. Ash stood over them, and Steven was now sure.
'Well, that is the end of the latest threat.' Ash straightened up. 'So, Steven, look for the leaks around your... uh, social circles.'
'Er...'
'I will be off.'
'Wait! Here, take these. '
Silence.
'A Key Stone and two Charizardites X and Y?!'
'Hey, let me know which one is compatible. I will be off.'
He smirked and walked off quickly, pleased at having outwitted Ash, for once at least.
