Tobias groaned as he collapsed to the ground, choking and sputtering.
'Are you truly going to kill me, Ash?'
He whispered.
Ash snarled. 'You thought I was going to do otherwise? Loss of life and property, nuclear warfare, brutal rule, Surge, Drake, and Clemont. Gary, and... you killed my mom, you bastard!'
Another aura sphere crashed into Tobias. Ash charged up the final ball: Tobias had to go.
But as he charged up...
'Do you know, do you want to know, who your father was, Ash? Where is he? If you kill me, Ash, you will not know...'
Ash had gone quiet.
'Ash, no! Do not listen to him! He is bluffing! Defeat him, it is a ploy to attack you!'
It was Professor Oak. But Ash had already made his decision.
'Who is my father, you swine?!'
'Why should I tell you, Ash?'
'I asked you a question, Tobias...'
'Ash, no! He is a fraud...'
'WHO IS MY FATHER?!'
Tobias laughed: 'You will not believe it... I ordered the killing of your mother, precisely because of her knowledge... your father is very alive, among the people in the room. '
'You are wrong! My mother told me he is gone, that he is dead!'
'No, Ash...! I. Am. Your. Father!'
For a moment, there was a profound, superb, impossible, silence. No one could believe it.
Horrified, even Ash drew back.
'You. Are. My. Father?'
'Yes, Ash... I am. '
Suddenly, a red light crashed into him. He fell to the ground. And Tobias... his father, stood on top of him.
'Terrible, Ash. Your mom was right. I am proud of you, my son. Proud of your achievements over everything. You know, I was overjoyed when you defeated not one, but two of my Legendaries not using your best things. I knew at heart, this is my son. We will accomplish great things. Together, we could have liberated the Pokémon world and the oppressed humans! Delia was beautiful... but, she stood as a hindrance to my objective. I had gone to visit her thrice since I began this work. And I was distracted. I knew, to continue the work of the Greater Good, there could not be a fourth. So, she had to go. And now, I will have to kill you, just like I killed Delia... yes, just like I killed Delia...'
Before he could go further, though, a blue ball knocked him back. Ash was in a true rage.
'You are not my father, you murderer! You will pay for what you did to all of us! You will pay for Clemont, for Gary, for my mother!'
A blue beam burst out and connected with Tobias. Tobias screamed and screamed, as his entire body began to melt to the bone, till he was utterly and completely vaporized.
There was not a trace of his body, not burnt flesh, nor a piece of bone, nor a speck of dust, left in the chamber Ash and his friends all stood...
It was all over...
