'There is always one thing we can resort to. A diplomatic solution. The United Regions (UR).' Steven explained.
'The UR? Why do you want to do that?'
'Economic sanctions. Military intervention if necessary. We will need the UR approval, remember? At least, if we are to legally try that. Hoenn has nuclear power now. If needed, Sinnoh, Unova, Alola and Kalos, as well as Delacore islands, Orange islands, New islands, Sevastar and Galar, will get nuclear weapons. Lieutenant Surge... Admiral Drake... all of them were good commanders in the First Pokémon War.'
Gary was the first to ask: 'First Pokémon War?!'
Steven sighed, 'Well, I will tell you. You see peace now. In 1962, the big regions were trying to take over each other and the smaller islands, known as imperialism.  They came for oil, for slaves and gold, for indigo and cotton, and many others. Sinnoh experienced a brutal defeat by Hoenn and Kanto. Johto allied with Kanto as well, and Galar and Kalos both stayed out of war.
A peace treaty was particularly dissatisfying for Hoenn and humiliating for Sinnoh. The right- wing fascist military, led by Benito Mussolini, took control of Hoenn in 1965. Till 1978, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis continued to sway people towards their side before they took over too. Hitler gained Sevastar, Sunburst island, Grapefruit islands, and then he took all the oil and gold- rich islands in Orange islands. In 1984, he threatened to invade Alola.
To stop him, Johto and Kanto declared war.  He annexed Alola and Johto, and Kanto was saved only by the buffer sea and the Victory Mountain Range in 1985.
Hitler made his biggest mistake then: he invaded Unova, and was defeated badly in 1988. Unova, Delacore, Sevastar, Alola and Orange were fighting for the Allies now. Kalos, desperate for territory, made an attack on Pearl Harbour, Galar. When Galar entered the war, it was over. Hoenn, Sinnoh and Kalos were all defeated by 1990. The UR was set up in 1991 to prevent another World War. And that... is the history. '
