Chapter 7- The Beginning of Lumiose

'Altaria, use Draco Meteor!'
'Greninja, stronger and stronger!'
Paul, Cynthia and Gary stared at the stadium with interest as Greninja fused...? with Ash.
'Outstanding. ' breathed Gary. 'This is unique.'
'Still, this is pathetic compared to the Charizard or Infernape or Sceptile.'
They watched as Greninja changed into a look more like Ash, tanked the Draco Meteor without visible damage and straight- up one- shotted the poor Altaria.
Cynthia turned on Paul: 'What do you mean, pathetic? I will kill you!'
Paul gave a loud, audible gulp.
Gary laughed.
'You too are not exempt. '
Gary shut up.

Ash picked up the call.
Lance Wataru.
'What? Got a report?'
Lance hesitated, before pouring out an explanation about the whole thing.
'Stealing military weapons and attempting to kill military commanders who can provide help to us in the upcoming war. Hmmm... looks like a full- scale war is what they want. '
Lance shivered. Terrorism and poachers were one thing, but war was a whole new thing altogether.
'There are leaks in the system itself, Ash. Military personnel are also very fickle and some are openly fighting against us, while some sabotage our system. A full- scale war is on the way... and we are doomed without our loyal friends. ' Lance confirmed.
'Indeed. Now, Lance, I want a lot of information. Regarding weapons. Who makes them and are we sure that they will be loyal?'
'Silph Co. Ltd. and Devon Co. Ltd. are the main companies manufacturing weapons and are actually enjoying a customer base among regional military forces. The Devon Co. Ltd. has Steven Stone as CEO after the death of his father a couple of years ago. '
'Mr. Stone is dead?!' cried Ash, shocked.
'Yeah. ' Lance sadly said. 'Steven has yet to recover from that blow. Ouch. That hurt him... like, a lot. '
'Well, now I know a bit. Thanks, Lance. '
'Ash, wait-!'
But the call was disconnected.
