jisung left school a bit earlier that day, not wanting to walk home in the dark again.
the streets were a lot emptier, making him feel a lot more safe. there were one or two creepy people sitting on the road talking to themselves, but jisung decided to ignore them. he'd be fine as soon as he got home.
"hey jisung!"
jisung flinched a bit, this was the last place he expected someone to call for him.
he looked down the alleyway and saw felix standing there, waving at him. he was surrounded by the same guys jisung saw him with in the cafeteria.
of all places, why did they have to hangout here?
"why are you just standing there? come here!"
jisung realized he'd just been staring at them, without even saying anything. he weighed the options in his head and decided to go to them. felix seemed delighted to see him for some reason so jisung didn't want to be rude and let him down.
the boys stared at jisung, who felt extremely awkward under their gaze.
"i heard you were talking about lixie earlier", the blond, who noticeably towered over him, said as soon as jisung stood in front of them. before he could even defend himself felix stood up for him, saying he didn't think they said anything bad. jisung had no idea why felix was being so nice to him all of a sudden.
"what are you doing here anyways?" felix asked him. "this area isn't exactly the safest."
'then why do you hang out here', is what jisung wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut.
"weren't you here yesterday too? do you deal drugs as a side hussle or something?" the fourth guy said, whose face and name jisung had yet to know. he had his back turned to them.
"i live here. well not here but in the area", jisung mumbled. he couldn't bring himself to meet their eyes, they were all intimidating. apart from felix. "speaking of which, i should get going."
for a second jisung's gaze wandered away from felix and his eyes locked with those of the pretty boy.
lee minho.
he'd been staring at him, making jisung gulp. the other however looked away and went back to lighting his cigarette.
"want us to accompany you? it's already getting dark", felix offered with a smile. jisung turned to him and smiled back, just not as bright. "thanks for the offer but i'm fine. my home's really not that far from here."
jisung left and felix waved him goodbye, whilst the others paid absolutely no mind to him.
he was confused, were they really as bad as chan said?
