"why are you hanging out with minho?"

"what do you mean?"

chan rolled his eyes at jisung's vague response. "he asked me to give him your phone number after class today."

"did you?"

"no i didn't! you can give it to him yourself. besides that's not the point right now. apparently you all hung out together? including seungmin?" he continued to interrogate him.

"yeah we did. why does it matter so much to you?"

"was that the reason both of you weren't in school last week?"

"chan you're not my mom. stop acting like you are ", jisung huffed. he was starting to get irritated. he hated how chan talked to him as if he'd committed a crime.

chan stared at jisung in disbelief. "i hope you know i'm only trying to protect you. minho and his group are a bad influence. isn't that the whole reason you transferred here? to get away from people like him?"

"chan stop!" jisung yelled a little too loudly, causing other students in the hallway to eye them weirdly. slightly embarrassed, jisung bowed his head, mumbling quiets 'sorry's here and there.

"stop using my past to guilt trip me."

"i'm not guilt tripping you. i couldn't even if i wanted to, none of it was your fault."

"chan shut up", jisung snapped before he could say anything else.

the other sighed. "fine. but i want you to be aware of what could happen", chan reasoned, eyes softening. he really didn't mean any harm and jisung was aware of that, but his words were still a bit harsh sometimes. chan always gave the best advice, he knew that. but this was the one time he just didn't want to listen.

"i'm not trying to tell you what to do. just be careful, ok? whatever happens, you can talk to me", chan said before leaving for the science lab. jisung quietly watched as chan's figure disappeared behind the corner.

jisung opened his locker and put his books back inside. he was in a bad mood and didn't feel like going to class anymore. he decided to go to the rooftop, internally hoping he'd find a specific brunette sitting there.

he did.

"hey minho."

"hey", he replied with a cigarette placed perfectly between his lips.

"did you come to take my stuff away again?" minho asked and jisung only laughed. "no, i just didn't want to go to class", he said as he sat down beside the boy.

"why, is something wrong? you scolded me for skipping, how come you get to do it?" minho flicked jisung's forehead and he scrunched his face in pain.

"i kind of got into a fight with chan", jisung mumbled. "i've never gotten into a fight with him before."

"don't worry too much jisung. fighting is a part of being friends", minho reassured and pulled jisung closer. he wrapped his arm around the younger and jisung placed his head on minho's shoulder. "i fight with hyunjin and changbin, especially hyunjin a lot."

jisung hummed in response. "why especially hyunjin?"

"because", minho paused for a moment. "we're closer. and i've known him longer."

"i see", jisung said as he leaned more into minho's touch.

"but back to you. do you want to talk about it?"

"not really", jisung frowned and minho nodded. "can we talk about something else instead?"

"of course", minho said as he ran a comforting hand through jisung's brown strands. "hyunjin, changbin and i are thinking of dyeing our hair."

"really?" jisung jumped out of minho's hold and looked at him. "that's so cool. does the school allow that?" minho shrugged. "i don't know, not like we care anyways. they haven't said anything about hyunjin or felix's hair so it should be fine."

"what do you mean?"

minho raised a brow. "their hair. it's bleached."

jisung's mouth fell open. "it's bleached?"

the other nodded.

"they aren't natural blonds?"

"no, have you seen their eyebrows?", minho laughed. now that jisung thought about it, it made sense.

"it looks so natural on them though."

minho agreed. "that's why felix doesn't want hyunjin to dye his hair. he likes that they're matching." hearing that made jisung smile.

"so what color are you going to dye you hair?" jisung asked, reaching out to play with minho's hair.

minho melted into his touch but didn't let it show. "i don't know yet. will you help me decide?" he asked.

jisung backed away from minho a bit, examining his features.

"purple", he suddenly said.

"purple?" minho blinked a few times. that's not what he was expecting. he thought jisung would say black or something.

"yeah, purple. i think it'd look great. well any color would look great on you, but i like purple", jisung smiled.

"purple it is then."
