"thanks for walking me home."
"of course."
jisung smiled as he stood before his front door and locked eyes with minho. "i had a lot of fun today."
minho felt a blush creep onto his cheeks as he happily nodded. just looking at the brunette made him feel so tingly inside, he couldn't get over how beautiful he was.
"i really like you jisung", minho said. he took a step forward and gently placed his hands on jisung's waist. his heart fluttered. he loved holding jisung's waist. it made the younger feel so small and made minho feel a sense of protectiveness.
"i really like you too minho", jisung giggled and wrapped his arms loosely around his neck. he leaned in and minho met him halfway for a sweet kiss.
"are you sure you don't want to come in?" jisung offered once they parted but minho shook his head.
"thanks love but i have to get home", he said and jisung jokingly pouted at him.
"don't pout. i'll see you on monday", minho grinned as he pressed another quick kiss on jisung's lips before slowly walking away.
"text me when you get home!" jisung called after him, his cheeks tinted pink. he saw minho give him a big thumbs up and he laughed before entering his home.
minho's walk home went by pretty quick. he went inside his house and was immediately met with the stench of alcohol. he gulped as he tip-toed across the floor, hoping to get to his room as fast as he could.
well his hopes were crushed.
"where the fuck were you?" he heard a booming voice right behind him.
minho shut his eyes tight, sucking in a harsh breath. at least he'd already prepared an excuse.
"i was with hyunjin." he turned around to meet his father's intimidating eyes that immediately made him want to disappear and never come back.
"oh really?" the man questioned, mockingly crossing his arms.
"mhm." minho felt a single bead of sweat roll down his face. "we were in the city."
"with hyunjin?" his dad asked, taking a step closer to him, making minho back up slightly. "i thought you were with.. what was his name? jisung? han jisung?"
minho felt like his heart stopped for a moment and his breath hitched in his throat.
how did he know about jisung?
"i don't know who jisung is", minho brushed off but his father wouldn't buy it. he saw how much more nervous the boy had become at the mention of jisung.
"of course you know him", his dad laughed, getting closer and closer to minho. "the shorter boy, with brown hair right? you were in a cafe with him today. i'm pretty sure it wasn't hyunjin. he's taller and has red hair now."
minho started panicking. he didn't know what to do or say.
he looked at the man and knew there was no way out of it.
"how", minho mumbled quietly.
"your friend told me, he came by earlier. ah i forgot his name, but uh- the guy with blue hair!" his father exclaimed, faking his enthusiasm.
minho's eyes widened.
changbin.
why would changbin tell his dad about jisung? it didn't make any sense.
"so what were you doing? were you on a date?"
"no!" minho shouted but he knew his father would never believe him. "we're just friends."
"just friends?" his dad spat and minho flinched. he aggressively grabbed minho's collar and pulled him closer to his face. "then why the fuck would you feel the need to hide him from me? all your friends are welcome."
his voice was menacing. minho was absolutely terrified. no one could frighten him the way his dad could. he didn't know if he should be more scared for jisung or for himself.
"i wasn't-"
minho was silenced by a harsh slap across the face that made him fall to the ground.
"you're telling me you're gay? that's disgusting", his dad whispered but it was loud enough for minho to hear. he kicked minho in the stomach and the boy hunched over, coughing.
his ribs were still in the healing process, this definitely set it back.
minho shakily stood up but before he could do anything or retaliate, his father gripped the back of his head and pulled him toward their cupboard. through the glass, minho admired the tea cups that were stacked neatly on the shelves. even in a situation like this, minho managed a small smile.
they belonged to his mom.
that smile immediately disappeared when his father smashed his head through the glass.
minho gasped as he felt shards prick his skin. within seconds blood started trickling down his face. he was scared to open his eyes, afraid he'd go blind.
"i don't want you seeing jisung ever again."
he let go of minho, who slumped onto the floor.
"if you do", minho forced his eyes open and turned to look at his father.
"i'll kill you."
