My brown eyes fluttered open and shut as pain lanced up my body all the way from my feet to my head. My eyes were unfocused and clouded from pain. Kirstin, are you okay? My mind drifted to Kirstin Maldonado, who was probably upset about me being gone. Jessica Peterson had kidnapped me and had already tortured me. I didn't know how much longer I could last. When it seemed that I wouldn't make it through the night, I would think of Kirstin, and it would give me strength, telling myself that they would find me. My boyfriend, Jacob Stevens, was a K9 officer for the Gatlinburg Police Department. He had a Belgian Malinois named Jasper, who was excellent at tracking. He could track and recognize just about any scent. It would be them if any K9 officer and dog could find me. Knowing that one of my other friends, Scott Hoying, had accepted Jacob made me know that they would work together to find me. It's more about whether Kirstin will make it than if I will make it. Kirstin would be devastated, and she won't be the only one. It seemed as if I had been here, chained for weeks; however, it had only been about five days. Although I haven't been in captivity long, Jessica has already made me ache all the time. She's beaten my back and legs to the point that I would lose consciousness. Pain tore through my body as my ankles and wrists began to bleed again. Underneath the chains were ropes drawn so tight that they cut into my skin to the bone. If I so much as attempted to fight back during a "session," Jessica or whoever was doing it, would pull one that was put around my neck during each "session." Jessica's plan was to torture me to the point of death. Jessica was intent on doing everything she could to make sure I suffered. I longed to be back in Tennessee with Kirstin and Scott. My heart ached for the warmth and comfort of Kirstin. A sigh left my mouth, and suddenly I felt a hand placed on my beaten back. I was forced down, and I stiffened. What is going to happen now? I thought fearfully.

Jessica Peterson: Looks like your heroes aren't here to save you yet. But don't fret; they won't make it out alive.

No! Leave them alone! A noise escaped my mouth, and I then felt Jessica squeeze her hand as she reached for something.

Jessica: You won't get out, and don't you dare think to make a peep like you just did. I will kill them, starting with that little Princess that survived that attack. And you are going to watch her die. You'll watch all of their deaths.

She lifted a black pole and brought it down on my back. I yelled in pain only to feel an electric shock that flowed into my body, starting in my leg. A prick had been in my leg, which was used to deliver the shocks. The shock drained my energy quickly. The thought of Kirstin brought strength to my body, and my energy rose, making Jessica groan, annoyed. She stopped the shocks, and then she left to get something, and I became fearful. No! She's going to get something to make me give in! Please hurry, guys. I can't last much longer. She didn't even return because someone else came in to pull a lever, which caused a chain to tighten around my neck. My head was forced back, and I was held in that position for several minutes. The energy drained from my body caused by the pressure around my neck made it hard to breathe. Kirstin! Please don't come with them! Let the police handle the search. Save yourself! I breathed out silently, hoping that my wishes would carry to my friend. I felt a stinging pain in my neck as I suddenly became lightheaded. They must be putting me to sleep as if they were going to do a surgery. My eyes closed in weakness as everything quickly went black.
