It's been a week since Meredith and Carol's engagement party. Now everyone was deep into wedding planning. Gwen insisted on taking care of everything. She needed the distraction considering now neither Peter or Thor wanted anything to do with her. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Gwen, Meredith and Carol were making some plans of their own.
Carol was wandering the castle, trying to find her soon-to-be mother-in-law. She could hear her echoing voice as she approached the throne room. Gwen was listing off instructions to a planning committee she had put together. "And it's very important that we send out invitations to all our Avenger friends. You may be dismissed" Gwen said.
Carol waited until the committee cleared out of the room before approaching Gwen. "Hi, mom" She greeted her.
Gwen turned and smiled at Carol. "Hi Carol. You'll be happy to know I am on top of everything for your wedding! Oh, it's gonna be beautiful. I haven't been this excited about a wedding since..." Her face dropped as she thought back to hers and Peter's wedding.
Carol noticed the sad look on Gwen's face and decided to try and cheer her up. "Hey, so apparently there's this karaoke bar in the city that's pretty cool. Meredith and I were gonna go there tonight, along with the others. Maybe you'd like to join us?"
Gwen sighed. "I don't know, Carol"
"Come on, you need a break. You need to have some fun"
Gwen thought about Carol's offer. Maybe a night of fun would do her some good. "Oh, what the hell? Count me in"
Carol grinned, clapping her hands together. "Great! We're leaving at six!" With that, Carol left, presumably to go be with her fiancé. Gwen couldn't help but wonder what she was getting herself into tonight. Was Peter gonna be there? Was Thor gonna be there? Maybe she should just stay in the castle tonight. But, Carol seemed so happy that Gwen was joining them. Gwen would go, but she would just stay with her two daughters for the night. Now, she just had to figure out someone to watch Yondu for the night.

Peter was in the kitchen fetching some food. The chefs looked at him oddly when he had a whole armful of snacks. But these snacks weren't for Peter. He was fetching something to eat for Arilemna. The girl was tiny but man could she eat. Peter and Damien were the only ones who knew about her so far. She was staying in one of the nicer unused rooms of the castle.
As Peter was making his way to Arilemna's room with the armful of snacks, he was stopped by Meredith who was coming in the opposite direction. "Hi dad!" Meredith greeted him, and then she eyed all the food. "What's up with all the food?"
"Oh, I'm just really hungry" Peter quickly said. "What's up, Star-Princess?"
"Carol, I and some others were going to a karaoke bar tonight for some drinks and just to have some fun. I was wondering if you'd like to join us?"
"Karaoke!?" Peter's eyes lit up in excitement. He didn't even have to be asked twice. "Hell yeah!" A sudden thought had occurred to Peter. "Wait, is Gwen gonna be there?"
Meredith frowned. "Is that gonna be a problem if she is?"
Peter knew if Gwen was gonna be there, then Thor was most likely too. He didn't want to watch them cuddling and sucking face all night. But, Meredith wanted him to go, and he didn't want to disappoint her. "Of course not"
Meredith smiled and then hugged Peter. "I'll see you tonight then. Leaving at six!"
The two of them parted ways with Meredith going wherever she was going, and Peter going to the room to feed Arilemna. That's when Peter got an idea. The poor thing has been cooped up inside her room this entire time. Maybe she'd like to get out and have some fun.
