After Gwen and Beverly's family reunion, they all sat in a living room area, and Rhodey got right to the point of why the Avengers asked the Guardians to come to Earth. As Rhodey explained, Meredith curiously eyed her mom and apparent grandmother. Gwen hadn't even introduced Meredith to Beverly as her grandaughter yet. Though, she could see how hard it would be to explain. Xavier was also eyeing Beverly carefully. She had the nerve to call Gwen her daughter when she wasn't. Gwen was his and Ophelia's daughter.

"It's been twenty three days since Thanos came to Earth" Rhodey said. They were looking at a holoscreen that showed the faces of people known to the Avengers affected by the snap. With Meredith's eyes now glued on Carol, she couldn't help but notice the sullen look on her face when Nick Fury's face appeared on the screen.

Natasha continued off of Rhodey. "World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census. And it looks like he did..." She paused, stammering to get the words out of her mouth. "Exactly what he said he was going to do. Thanos wiped out fifty percent, of all living creatures"

"Where is he now?" Tony spoke up. "Where?"

"We don't know. He just opened a portal and walked through" Steve explained.

"Mr. Shapeshifter," Tony ignored Steve, and looked to Kamomile. "You wouldn't happen to know where is, would you? You did used to work for him"

"I'm afraid I don't know, Mr. Stark" Kamomile apologized. Tony nodded at him in response, and then looked to Gwen and Thor who were sitting on the bench. They both looked very upset and angry.

"Are those two okay?" he asked.

"Well, they're pissed. Thor thinks he failed, which of course he did. Gwen lost the love of her life thanks to Thanos. The only reason they're not exploding right now is because they're keeping each other sane" Rocket explained. Meredith huffed, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I'm mad too, but you don't see me calling Thor dad, do you?" She sneered. Rocket gave her a warning glare, not to say anything more, but Meredith ignored her raccoon uncle. "You don't think she's moved on a little too fast?" Gwen glared over at her daughter and opened her mouth to say something when Lylla stepped in.

"Meredith," the otter spoke up. "We're all upset right now, and when we're upset, we don't really think about what we're doing"

"She knows very well what she's doing! She thinks she can replace my father!" Meredith was on the verge of becoming angry yet again. Carol placed her hand over hers, which made Meredith calm down instantly. The two of them locked eyes, and smiled at each other.

With most of the tension now diffused, Steve continued on. "We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep space scans, satellites, and we got nothing" He paused for a moment and looked at Tony. "Tony, you fought him"

"Who told you that?" Tony scoffed. The tension between the two Avengers was back the moment they came back from Kosmo. "No, he wiped my face with a planet while the Bleecker Street Magician gave away the stone. That's what happened. There was no fight" Tony pointed towards Gwen. "Ask the queen over there. She can tell you what happened. She tried fighting Thanos as well and she got her face wiped"

"Stark, I'd shut up if I were you, or you'll get a blast of energy to the face" Gwen growled. She really didn't need to be reminder of the failure that happened back on Titan. The failure that led to her husband being snapped away.

Helena rolled her eyes and snapped her head in the direction of her sister. "Okay, I get you've been going through a rough time, we all are, but that doesn't give you the right to be a bitch to everyone else"
