Before I continue on with this chapter, I'm going to say this one thing right now. Meredith/Celeste is not four years old anymore. She is an adult now, and I will explain why she has become an adult so quickly in a future chapter.
It was quiet in the soul stone. It's been two weeks since they were snapped into the stone, but to them, it's only felt like two days. Time in the real world and the soul stone didn't work the same way.
Peter sat at the fountain, wishing to see his wife's face, but for some reason, her leaf wasn't appearing on the tree anymore. It was like she was becoming distanced from him. Forgetting about him. It broke Peter Quill's heart.
Gamora and Damien were taking a walk together. She was pregnant and hadn't told him yet. Damien, on the other hand, despite the situation they were in, was hoping to propose to Gamora. He figured they would be in the stone for quite some time. He might as well marry the woman he loves.
"Gamora," Damien began, making her stop and look at him. "There's something I've been wanting to ask you"
"Really? Because there is something I need to tell you" Gamora added. Damien allowed her to speak first. She took a deep breath, ready to confess her pregnancy to her boyfriend, but was interrupted when there was an earthquake like shake.
Everyone in the stone felt the shake. Gamora and Damien held onto each other for balance. Peter Parker, who was nearby, ran over to the two of them, confused and scared as to why everything was shaking. "Mrs. Gamora, Mr. Damien, what's going on?" He grabbed a hold of Gamora's arm.
"I don't know, Peter" Gamora tried to comfort him. "I'm sure whatever it, is we'll be fine"
"I'm going to go find Quill" Damien said. Gamora nodded at him, saying that it was okay to leave. She stayed with the younger Peter, as Damien ran off to find his brother-in-law. He knew exactly where he would be.
Damien had found that Peter Quill had fallen into the fountain. Peter stood up, now soaking wet. He was looking around, obviously disoriented and confused. His eyes landed on Damien. "Peter, are you alright?"
"Yeah, Damien, I'm fine" Peter assured him. He stepped out of the fountain and back onto the orange grass. "Did you feel that shake?"
"Yes, I did. I think everyone here did"
"Did they reverse the---"
"I don't think so, otherwise we wouldn't still be here"
"Then what the hell caused the stonequake?"

Meredith, Helena, Rocket, and Nebula had let the woman onto the ship. They had learned that her name was Carol Danvers and that she was on her way to Earth after receiving a message from a friend. Helena, Rocket, and Nebula sat with her, as Meredith went into the kitchen area to get their guest some food.
"How did you guys get stranded out here?" Carol asked them.
"Our ship ran out of fuel" Helena explained. She noticed Rocket shamefully put his head down. To comfort him, she began to pet his head, which he didn't even object to. Helena continued explaining to Carol. "Our captain, who is my sister, then got mad and destroyed our fuel gauge"
The tune to Another One Bites the Dust suddenly began blasting all over the ship. Nebula rolled her eyes. Both at Gwen's actions and the choice of music, considering the events that just happened. Carol's eyes began darting around, becoming curious and confused at the music. "What's with the music?"
"That would be from my mom's "I'm angry" playlist" Meredith explained as she joined them. She set down a sandwich and a drink in front of Carol. The blonde looked up at the redhead, and they locked eyes. They both smiled at each other, and kept eye contact until Rocket cleared his throat. Carol and Meredith both awkwardly looked away from each other. Meredith sat down as she Carol began to eat the sandwich. "How the hell can you survive out there without some sort of mask?"
"It's part of my powers"
"What are your powers?" Rocket asked curiously.
"I'd show you, but then I may end up breaking part of your ship, and if your captain is angry, then I probably shouldn't aggravate her further"
"It's not Gwen's fault for being angry" Nebula began. She leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms over her chest. "My father is the reason she's angry. He took away her husband, her friends, her family" Nebula paused for a moment, and looked down sadly at the table. "My sister..."
"And who is your father?" Carol interrogated.
"His name is Thanos. He's responsible for killing half of the universe" Nebula nearly jumped out of her seat when a blast of energy went flying near her head, and almost hit Carol, who dodged it just in time. It wound up hitting the floor, leaving a sizzling hole.
"Don't you fucking dare say his name!" Gwen growled through gritted teeth. Meredith sighed and parted for her room, not wanting to be near her mother. Carol watched as she left, and then her eyes landed on Gwen. The Kosmonian took notice of the Human-Kree hybrid. "Who is this and why is she on my ship?"
Carol stood from her seat, ready to approach Gwen. Helena put a hand on Carol's arm. "Miss Danvers, I would give my sister some space if I were you" Carol acknowledged Helena's warning, but ignored it and continued to approach Gwen.
"My name is Carol Danvers. I was on my way to Earth when I noticed your ship" Carol noticed the angry expression on Gwen's face. She clenched her right fist, powering up a photon blast incase Gwen attempted to attack her. "From what your friends explained to me, I understand that you're heading to Earth as well"
"Yeah? And what's it to you?" Gwen was powering up an energy blast, becoming very annoyed with Carol. She was simply annoyed with the fact that she was just some random woman who shows up out of nowhere and settles on Gwen's ship like it's her own damn property.
"I can help you and your friends get to Earth"
"Really? And why the hell should I trust you? I don't even know you! For all I know, you could just be another one of his lackeys"
"But I'm not" Carol was doing everything she could to try and calm Gwen down and make her trust her. "I got a page from an old friend of mine. His name is Nick Fury. I'm sure the reason he contacted me has to do with this--" Carol stopped herself, not wanting to say the name because she already knew Gwen got angry anytime someone said it. "This guy that you're so angry at"
Gwen started to calm down. She relaxed her fist, as did Carol when she saw Gwen was calming. "Alright. I'll accept your help, but I don't know how you can. The ship is out of fuel"
Carol gave her a smile. "Just leave that to me" She made her way towards the door that she used to enter the ship. "By the way, what is your name, and what do you call yourselves?" Gwen approached Carol, a smile appearing on her face.
"My name is Gwen Quill, Queen of Kosmo. I'm the Captain of this ship, and leader of the Guardians of The Galaxy"
"Well, Gwen Quill" Carol shook Gwen's hand. "I say from this point forward I take you all to Earth, we team up, and get revenge on this guy"
"That sounds like a plan Carol Danvers"
