It was Rocket's turn to clean up garbage that was left lying around the Benatar. Considering there was only four of them now, there wasn't much to clean up. As he was making his way around the ship, he found himself in front of a dusty door. It was Gwen and Peter's old room. Rocket's ears dropped at the memory of his two friends. He opened the door and stepped inside.
While the room was clean and tidy, it was also very dusty on account of it not being occupied for five years. Rocket noticed a picture that was sitting on the shelf above the bed. He climbed up onto the bed and then grabbed the picture off of the shelf.
It was a picture of all the Guardians together. It was their family photo. Rocket smiled to himself as he recalled the day they got it done.

Gwen insisted that the Guardians all took a day off to spend it on Xandar. They set up a picnic and Gwen decided to get a portrait taken of all of them together. Gwen was busy getting the camera ready while the other Guardians watched her curiously, except for Peter as he was running around and playing with his daughter. Gwen had also invited one of the Kosmonian guards so she could have someone take the picture of all of them.
"So, that's what you use to take pictures on Earth?" Gamora asked.
"Yes. Well, in the 80's at least. I think they'd use a different kind of camera now, though" Gwen explained. During a mission, Gwen had found a camera like the ones used back on Earth. This particular camera was a Canon T80.
"How does it work? It says canon on it. Does it fire cannons?" Drax wondered.
"No, it doesn't fire cannons" Drax let out a disappointed sigh as Gwen continued explaining how the camera worked. "See this front part here? This is called the lens. Light enters through there and helps process the picture. This button right here" Gwen tapped at the button. "Is what you press to take the picture"
"What's the shiny thing you are putting into the camera?" Rocket asked.
"The film. After you take a picture, that's where it goes. You can get the photos on the film enlarged" Gwen held up the camera in her hands. "Who wants to take a practice picture?"
"Ooh. Me. I'll do it" Mantis volunteered, raising her hand. Gwen held up the camera to her eye and looked through the viewfinder. She adjusted the lens until Mantis was in focus.
"I need you to smile for me, Mantis"
Mantis smiled widely, and Gwen snapped a picture. The flash nearly blinded Mantis. She blinked her eyes really fast until the dots she was seeing disappeared. "A light came from the camera. I think it is broken"
"No, that's just the flash"
"I am Groot"
"Groot says he's ready for his picture to be taken. He's even got a nice branchcut for the occasion" Rocket translated.
"Alright. Peter!" Gwen called for her husband. She saw him running around with Meredith riding on his back. She grinned to herself and took a picture of the scene before her. She stood up and walked over to her husband and daughter. "Having fun?"
"Yeah. Daddy and I are playing spaceship!" Meredith squealed in excitement. She got off of Peter and hugged Gwen's legs. Gwen petted her head.
"You know we live on a real spaceship, right?"
"I know. It's just fun playing with daddy"
"I love playing with you two, little Star-Angel" Peter said. He picked up Meredith and kissed her cheek. "Is everyone ready for our family portrait?"
