"She didn't answer my text I'm worry Nat." You said while playing with your phone in your hands. Natasha who's pacing around your bedroom in a baggy shirt and underwear turns to look at you with concern in her eyes. "I know baby but you know Wanda she's a romantic at heart, she's just making the most of her alone time with Vision. We would too if we didn't have Vicky." She wiggled her eyebrows with a goofy grin while continuing to pat your daughter diapered behind.
"Please don't hint into sex when the reason for our sex-deprived life is lying peacefully in your arms." You groan getting up which makes Natasha snort in amusement. It's been a little more than two years since you went on the run with a part of the avengers and eight months since Victoria was born. You've never seen your girlfriend happier than when Vicky is in her arms.
"I can put her in her crib she won't wake up for the rest of the night then you can be mine for as long as you want." She teases you one of her hands slipping under your shirt to stroke the skin of your waist with her thumb. "Please do that." You agreed kissing her.
You kiss Vicky's forehead before Natasha makes her way to your daughter's bedroom, you went to the window looking at the sky full of stars you couldn't even see when you were at the Avengers tower back in New York City. You could faintly hear Natasha singing a Russian lullaby when Vicky whimpered as she was put down in her crib, this was peaceful, no mission, no death, no world-ending danger, just you and your family.
You feel a pair of arms wrapped around your waist and her lips gently brush against your jawline. "What got you so lost."
"You, Vicky. I'm just happy." You whispered as if it was a secret. Turning your head towards Nat's you notice the special glint in her eyes, the one reserved for you, Vicky, and sometimes in rarer moments Wanda. "So am I."
Her curious hands travel under your shirt but she stops immediately when you tense up. "Something's wrong любовь ?" (Lyubov --> Love)
"Someone's coming up to the house, go back to Vicky." You instructed immediately getting in action you saw their shadows while watching out the window. Natasha quickly went to retrieve the hidden gun in the nightstand's drawer while you make your way downstairs.
You knew Natasha would protect her daughter with her life if something bad were to happen. You hurry to the backroom, where all your weapons were hidden, and take one of the best rifles you've got. You were planning on taking them from behind but for that, you had to be quick.
You concentrate on where you want to go and in a blink of an eye, you find yourself in the front yard where you notice two people walking up to the house. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Back off." You said coldly.
"I know it's been more than a couple of months but damn it hurts." A sarcastic voice that you could recognize from miles away says putting their hands in the air. "Sam?!"
"Nice to see you too." He smiles at you not even worrying about the rifle in your hands, Steve, on the other hand, seems a little taken aback by the gun. "Tell me something only you can know."
"Alcohol-free beer is disgusting." Steve said with a teasing smile on his face. You let down your rifle chuckling. It wasn't the affirmation that was important but what was hidden behind it, he was talking about Victoria. "You're never going to forgive us about that one uh?"
"Never. It's good to see you Y/n but we need your help." The blonde says matter a fact, you frown leading them inside the house. "Nat it's just Sam and Steve." You call from the stairs.
"You know we're kind of retired." You say softly going inside the kitchen to offer them some drink. "Tony called-" You scoff and slam the fridge's door after getting out three bottles of water. "I couldn't care less about him."
