"Alright team, last quarter and were still tied 10-10. You guys are doing great, they just have a good defensive and offensive line. I'm going to put Katherine on middle defense and Alex on goal. Ashton you're going to offensive line with Katie and George. Jay go center back. Evan and Jamie go to left and right defense. I figure if we have a good defense lineup, there will be less stress on you, Alex, as it's your first game in goal. Don't get stressed if a ball goes in, alright? You guys got this." Their coach said before sending them onto the field. Alex took a deep breath before cracking her fingers.

"You got this Alex, don't be afraid. You have just as much control of the ball as you do when you're running down the field with it. I'll keep you safe, slow them down. You got this." Katherine said with a smile. Alex smiled back and got ready just outside of the net. She was ready.

Katherine defended very well with a few slip-ups here and there, but it wasn't a big deal.

"Goal kick! Alex, you take it." Katherine said, backing up to let her take the goal kick. She nodded and set up the ball walking back to analyze the situation once more. She saw everyone crowding around and her brain settled on the brunette again. She could see more of his features, but she looked away, focusing on how many of her teammates were open.

She decided quickly that she'd kick it high and over everyone else to try and get it to the offensive. She took a deep breath before running up and kicking it. She smiled as it soared and landed a little behind where she was headed, but nonetheless it got to where it needed to be.

"Good job, Alex!" She heard Katherine yell once more. Every time Katherine cheered her on she smiled because that's her best friend right there.

The game soon came to a close, Alex's team winning by two points. They lined up and high fives each wishing a good game. She smiled at the brunette boy she'd grown a liking to. He'd occasionally smile at her when she had a certain nicely done kick or save and it made her smile. She started doing the same back to him in the second half once she really took notice of his continuous actions.

"Good game, you did well." The brunette said quickly. She smiled but didn't have enough time to say it back. By the time her coach was done speaking, he was out of sight. She sighed, wanting to wish him a good game. That was until she saw her little sister run across the field wildly to give her a hug.

"Lily! What are you doing." She laughed, picking her up with a smile.

"You did good!"She exclaimed, even if she wasn't even sure what good meant in soccer.

"Yeah! I saw you playing with dad over there a bit! You did good too, gonna be just like me, huh?" She asked, walking over to her parents with a smile.

"Yeah! And like Kathy!" She exclaimed. Katherine smiled and rustled her hair.

"Where do you guys want go to eat?" Her father asked with a smile as Alex's parents lead the way to the car.

"I want pizza, so badly." Alex said with a smile.

"I second that." Katherine spoke softly.

"Pizza!" Lily exclaimed.

"Hun, I think we're outnumbered." Her mother said with a laugh.

"We? I want pizza too." He spoke back to his wife with a smile. The family was happy, especially with Katherine around. Whenever Alex started bringing her around in the sixth grade, she adapted well and fit into their dynamic quickly.

The family arrived at the pizza place and ordered individual pizza slices before sitting down. Alex and Katherine both enjoy the cheaper individual slices from Brooklyn rather than the expensive individual slices from other places. They're cheaper and just taste better.

"So, I saw you talking to a brunette on the other team." Her mom said, raising her eyebrows with a smirk.

"Shut up! It wasn't anything like that. Just friendly competition, dude." She replied before shoving a bite into her mouth.

"Oh! I saw that too. Number, 27, was it?" Katherine asked, looking at Alex.

"Oh my gosh, I hate you guys. Let me out, Kath, I have to use the bathroom." She said with a small laugh. Katherine let her out and she walked to the small bathrooms in the back. Before she could enter she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Oh, hi!" She said with a smile, seeing the brunette in the number 27 jersey.

"Hi, I think you played really well today. You're also really pretty. Do you think I could give you my number, and we can be friends?" He asked, clearly nervous.

"Uh, yeah! You don't only play soccer though right?" She asked in a playful manner.

"Nope, I also play video games but I'm sure that's probably gonna turn me down, it always does."

"You play Minecraft?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, why?" He asked, a small smile on his face.

"Pc or pocket edition."

"Both, that was a trick question."

"Write down your number and both of your usernames then too." She replied with a smile. He pulled a napkin from a random table, apologizing to them as she laughed. He write down his number and his ign before handing it to her. He also wrote his name with a smiley face at the bottom.

"Bye Karl. You played good game today." She replied before walking into the bathroom. A few moments later Katherine walked in and Alex talked to her all about it.
