Yeah! We're in a hotel near your house. We have all the presents since were spending Christmas in the hotel.

and then everyone is going out to dinner tonight too, right?

Is Katherine okay? I just took notice that she's been there the last few weeks.

her parents kicked her out so she's staying with us until they change their mind again. it's happened more times than you can count. this time its because she has a boyfriend so she's been staying here for two weeks.

That's terrible, I hope she figures it all out :((

me too, but she's always been welcome here so it's not as terrible as it could be. not that it like isn't but like she has a safe place to go and stuff.
I sounded like such a bad friend :(

"Kath, does this look okay?" She asked, putting on her ripped jeans and a sweater.

"So little miss tomboy does dress up." Katherine said with a laugh. Alex laughed and walked into the living room to find her mom doing her sister's hair.

"Hi, Momma. They should there soon." Alex said with a smile. About ten minutes later, the family left and arrived at the restaurant. They waited at the large table for the Jacobs family to arrive.

"Hi Alex." Corry said with a smile, hugging the teen from behind.

"Hello, Corry." She replied, hugging the girls arms before standing to greet the rest of the family. Her and Shawn did their handshake and she hugged his parents before hugging him too. Everyone greeted one another before sitting down. Karl sat across from Alex and they kept kicking each other under the table.

Everybody talked and got to know each other better and it made both Karl and Alex happy. Their families were bonding and getting along great and to made them appreciative and grateful.

"Are you guys okay to come back to our house for a little bit?" Alex's mom asked with a smile. They all agreed and Karl picked Lily up, carrying her to the car.

"Alright, I'll see you guys in a few minutes." Karl said, hugging Alex with a smile before walking to his car.

"He's a good kid, Lex, you picked a good one." Her dad said, smiling at her in the rearview mirror.

"Hey, do you think Ashton could come over for a little bit?" Alex asked, her cheeks reddening from the comment her dad made. He chuckled, knowing she was deflecting.

"Yeah, sure! Does he have a way here?"

"Yeah!" She said with a smile. Once they all arrived at the house, Karl walked over to the car and Alex jumped on his back. Katherine smiled, carrying Lily behind them as everyone followed. They walked inside and Karl threw Alex onto the couch before throwing himself on top of her.

"You have a beautiful home." Karl's mom said in awe.

"Awe, thank you. You guys are welcome here whenever, I like to keep an open house. Make sure people know they have a place to go."

"Wanna play Minecraft?" Katherine asked, pulling out her phone. Karl and Alex not having to agree by any means. After a few minutes, Shawn joined as well as Corry.

"Well, give the kids some internet and they'll be rather quiet." Alex's mom spoke with a small smile. Shawn and Corry were on the couch next to Katherine while Karl and Alex were cuddling on the other couch with Lily.
