"Hey, Kath, do you wanna go with me to Karl's soccer game?" Alex asked, looking at her best friend who sat on her bed. She was smiling at her phone, obviously talking to someone of great interest.

"Actually, yeah! Can I bring a friend?" She asked, a smile on her face.

"Yeah! Who?"

"Ashton." She smiled with a blush on her face.

"Like, Ashton Ashton! The one who we've been playing soccer with for months? The one who you have the biggest crush on? The one who scored the final goal at our last soccer game last weekend?" Alex carried on with a smile.

"Yes! That Ashton!" She exclaimed with a smile.

"Yes of course, just give me his address and I'll give it to my mom." Alex said with a smile. She heard her phone ping as she ran down the hallways to her mom's room.

"Hey, can we pick up Katherine's crush on the way to Karl's game. She insists on not third wheeling even though me and Karl aren't even together." Alex said with a smile.

"Yes of course, give me the address and I'll make it happen." She smiled back. Alex copied the address and sent it to her mom, running and telling Katherine the news. She smiled and squealed a bit like a normal teenage girl. The pair got ready together and Alex smiled like a little kid on Christmas when she put on Karl's soccer hoodie with his name and number on the back.

"Wait, he gave you that, like to keep?!" Katherine exclaimed with a huge smile.

"Yeah why?' Alex said, a reciprocated smile.

"Girl, he's so asking you out soon! It's like the football players giving their cheerleader girlfriends their varsity jacket or whatever!" Katherine exclaimed.

"Shut up!" Alex said, swatting at Katherine with a smile. The pair walked to the living room to put on their shoes before walking outside to the car. They picked up Ashton who sat in the back with Katherine and was a gentleman, thanking Alex's mom for picking him up profusely.

"Alright, I'm gonna go around the shops while I have some time alone. Text me when the game is over and be safe ladies, I love you."

"Love you, mom!" Katherine and Alex said in unison before laughing. Just as her mom turned around she heard gravelly footsteps before a body collided into hers from behind.

"Alex!" She heard Karl's soft voice say from behind her. She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Hi, Karl!" She said happily.

"You're wearing my soccer hoodie." He said, pulling away with a smile.

"I am indeed. It's rather comfortable." She said with a smile, pulling the hood up to block out the cold wind.

"You guys can come sit with my family if you want. I've met Katherine before, and I recognize you vaguely from the soccer game with Alex, but I'm Karl." Karl introduced to Ashton who then introduced himself back. Karl lead everyone over to his family, carrying the chair and the blanket Alex was carrying. Ashton was doing the same for Katherine.

"Oh, Alex!" Karl's mom said with a smile.

"Hi!" She greeted, hugging his mom with a smile.

"How are you, if yogurt too cold we have plenty of blankets and we parked the car close enough to watch from there. I'm sure whenever Corry notices you're here she'll come join you guys. And I am to assume you are Katherine and Ashton?" His mom asked.
