(This is gonna be a kind of normal chapter. I hope you guys will enjoy this)!

The next day felt weird. I couldn't look at the sun at all nor could I go out in the sun. Usually I did. Manon found it weird but she thought it was due to me "grieving" the loss of my fiance. I could care less about him.

"Good morning mon chérie! Did you have a good rest?" Lestat asked, bursting into my room. He shut the door. "Yes. I feel fine." I answered. He threw himself on the bed. I chuckled. He was sleeping in Georges' room while I continued to sleep in mine.

We continued to talk when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in." I called out. Manon walked in the room, surprised to see Lestat there. "Oh! I suppose I haven't introduced you both. Manon, this is my friend Lestat. He will be staying here with us." I explained. Manon nodded, bowing her head at him. "Monsieur Gagnon is here to see you." Manon revealed. Charles Gagnon was Georges' friend. Great. "I'll be downstairs in a minute." I told her. Manon nodded and left the room, shutting the door behind her.

"Ugh. Now my fiance's friends are going to keep visiting to offer their condolences." I groaned. Lestat chuckled. "I'll be here waiting, chérie." Lestat said. "Alright." I responded, heading out the room while putting on my robe. I had on a white nightgown and I did not want to change.

"Monsieur Gagnon." I greeted. Charles got up and walked over. "Mademoiselle de Alexandre." Charles greeted me, kissing my hand. "I am so sorry for your loss." He continued. I gave him a small smile. "Thank you Charles. It's just really shocking." I lied. "How are you feeling Charlotte?" He asked. "I'm alright. I'm just recovering and trying to process Georges' death. I hope they catch whoever did this." I answered, pretending to be sad.

Charles sat down and I sat down beside him. "He loved you Charlotte. He really did." He revealed. I internally scoffed. No he didn't. If Charles saw the way he treated me here, he wouldn't be saying that. I gave him a small smile. "Thank you, I loved him too." I lied. "It must be painful for you considering your wedding was supposed to be next month." Charles added. I nodded, still pretending to be sad.

"I'm having a party tonight in honor of Georges. It would be great if you came, but I understand if you cannot." Charles mentioned, stroking my shoulder. I smiled uncomfortably. "I'll think about it." I responded, to which he nodded.

"Well, I shall leave now. I just wanted to check on you. Glad to see you're doing well, mademoiselle." Charles said, standing up. "Merci Charles. Have a great day." I replied, bidding him farewell as he left. "Madame, do you want any breakfast?" Manon asked. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat human food, which honestly kinda sucked. I mean, I could eat it but it wouldn't do any good. I still need blood.

"No thank you Manon. I'll just be in my room." I answered. Manon nodded as I retreated to my room. Lestat was still laying there like how he was when I left.

"Well you must be enjoying yourself." I chuckled, shutting the door. "Indeed." Lestat replied, staring up at the ceiling. I shook my head and laid down. I was bored out of my mind, but at least Lestat kept me company. "When is your fiance's funeral?" Lestat asked. "He's not technically my fiance anymore. But his funeral is next week. That's what I've been told. His parents are planning it." I answered. "Are you going?" Lestat asked. "I thought I couldn't because of the sun." I said, puzzled.

"Vampires can die because of exposure to the sun. However, it shouldn't be too bad if you're covered up." Lestat explained. I nodded in understanding. The day went on like normal and it was eventually night. The sun had gone down.

"Charlotte, are you hungry?" Lestat asked. "Starving." I answered. "I overheard that friend of your fiance's. Are you thinking what I'm thinking, chérie?" Lestat asked.

I smirked at him and nodded. Time to learn how to kill.

(There we go! Some killing gonna be going on in the next chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed this)!
