(Cute moment between these two. Also a short chapter. I hope you guys will enjoy this)!

Lestat commanded the horse to stop after a few moments of riding. He got down and helped me. "How was that, mon bijou?" Lestat asked. I chuckled. "Will you ever run out of nicknames for me?" I asked. "No way." Lestat chuckled.

"The ride was great. Thank you." I said, answering his previous question. Lestat smiled. "No problem, amour." Lestat beamed. After a moment, we sat in front of a tree, just taking in the night and just searching for victims if we needed it.

"What's on your mind?" I asked. "Read my thoughts if you want to know." Lestat jokes. I giggled a little. "No I mean, what happened back there? How come you reacted that way? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I inquired. It was silent for a moment and I could tell he was gathering up the courage to speak.

"About five years or so before I turned you, I was a human. I had just moved from Auvergne to Paris and joined a theater there. I had left for Paris to become an actor. I was doing so well in that theater. And then one day, my maker kidnapped me after seeing my performances. He turned me against my will and committed suicide immediately after, leaving me to fend for myself without any knowledge of what I could do. I never had that choice like you and Louis did. I didn't want to put you or him through that, so I gave you that choice." Lestat explained, sadly.

My heart broke hearing his story. I never would've imagined that he went through that. I felt horrible for him. "I'm so sorry, darling. I feel horrible that you went through that." I consoled. I truly did feel horrible for him. Lestat laid my head on his shoulder and ran his fingers through my long, black hair.

"It's alright, mon chaton. If it wasn't for him, I maybe would not have met you." Lestat whispered. "I thought you said you'd still find me even if I hadn't met my asshole fiance?" I joked. "Well, possibly. But I wouldn't have been attending that masquerade ball if I wasn't a vampire now would I?" Lestat chuckled. I shrugged and giggled. We sat there in silence for a few moments and just in each other's hold. We've cuddled like this many times but it still felt wonderful and special each time.

"Are you ready to go back and watch me antagonize Louis again?" Lestat asked. I laughed out loud and nodded while giggling. He helped me up and back on the horse, following shortly after. Once again, we were off into the night.

(These two just keep reminding me how single I am. I hope you all enjoyed this, Rosalies! See you soon)!
