(Once again, a depressing chapter. I hope you guys will enjoy)!

I don't know how long it has been since I left the house. I know it's been a long time. The moon was beginning to set, so I made my way home. When I got there, the door was open. I furrowed my brows and walked in. The house was empty. No sign of life anywhere, which was odd.

I looked around and saw there was a sign of a struggle. This worried me. I thought about what Santiago had said yesterday. That it was a crime to kill your own kind and that it would be punishable by death. I wanted to go back outside to look for Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine. But it was turning into daytime.

After painfully waiting for many hours, the sun had finally set. I made my way outside to look for Louis, Claudia, and Madeleine. I went to the theater, knowing Louis might be there and could've possibly taken Claudia and Madeleine with him. Maybe the struggle and the door being open was something else.

I stopped in my tracks once I saw it. The theater was burned. I overheard some conversations from people who were walking and discovered that the theater had been set on fire last night. I began to panic a little. If Louis was in there with Armand and was accompanied by Claudia and Madeleine, they could be dead. I had to find them.

I looked everywhere, but couldn't find them. I began breaking down in tears, now convinced that Louis and Claudia and most likely Madeleine were dead from the fire.

After walking some more, I saw a familiar looking figure. I gasped, realizing it was Armand. "Armand!" I called. He turned to look behind him. "Charlotte?" He asked. "Have you seen Louis and Claudia? I can't find them!" I asked, frantically. He hung his head down. This scared me. I didn't even want to read his mind.

"Louis and Claudia are dead. Santiago discovered that they killed Lestat. They were punished." Armand explained. I let out a loud sob and covered my face. I did love them. I truly did.

"And Madeleine?" I asked. She wasn't involved with Lestat's murder. "She's dead too." Armand revealed. My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach, and I felt extremely guilty for her. Madeleine was only a vampire for a few hours. She didn't deserve that.

"Why didn't Santiago or any of the vampires go after me?" I asked. "Santiago read your mind and heard you talking. He knew you weren't involved." Armand answered. "But Madeleine wasn't involved either! In fact, she hadn't even been a vampire long! Only for a few hours or so!" I cried. "Santiago and the rest thought she was an accomplice." Armand replied. I sighed, feeling hurt.

Now I was truly alone. Louis and Claudia, the vampires who I had been with for 79 and 75 years respectively, were gone. Even Madeleine, who was supposed to be Claudia's companion, was gone. Now I would once again go through the pain of losing my loved ones. First it was my parents, then Lestat, now it was Louis and Claudia. "Thank you, Armand." I voiced in a quivering whisper. He nodded, and I walked away back to my house, which would no longer be occupied by three vampires. Instead, only one remained.

(Charlotte really can't catch a break, can she? I hope you guys enjoyed this though! See you on Monday)!
