   ~ 1825 ~

It's been 30 years. How time flies. Everything around us in New Orleans has changed over the years. Everyday the city was evolving. It was insane to watch. Everything was changing, but we stayed the same.

Mentally, I'm 60-years-old. Physically, I'm still 20. If I was never a vampire, I'd possibly be dead by now. I don't want to picture that considering I absolutely love my eternal life.

Lestat is mentally 65. Physically, he's also 20. Louis is mentally 58 but 24 physically. Claudia has it the worst. She is mentally 40-years-old, but she's physically still a 10-year-old child.

We were walking along the dock, which was crowded with people with steam ships around us. We gazed at everyone as they went about their business.

"Lord, what I wouldn't give for a drop of good old-fashioned Creole blood." Lestat groaned. "Yankees are not your taste?" Louis asked as he held Claudia's hand. "Their democratic flavor doesn't suit my palate, Louis." Lestat answered, to which I chuckled.

As we continued to walk back to our home, Claudia walked ahead and spotted something. Or someone. She was listening to a woman singing as she washed. The window was cracked open and we could see she was naked. She was gazing at her, but not in a way that she wanted to drink her blood.

"Now that is pure Creole. Trust Claudia to have found her." Lestat said as he put his hand on her shoulder. She took it off her and went to Louis instead, which took me by surprise. "What? Don't you want her?" Lestat asked.

"I want to be her. Can I, Louis? Be like her one day?" Claudia asked. Louis looked at the both of us, not knowing what to say. My heart broke knowing that Claudia would never be able to experience growing up physically. She will always have the body of a 10-year-old, no matter what age she is.

"Mon dieu, more melancholy nonsense. I swear you grow more like Louis everyday. Soon you'll be eating rats!" Lestat snapped a little. Claudia made a disgusted face. "Rats? When did you eat rats, Louis?" Claudia asked. "It was a long, long time ago. Before you were born." Louis answered, making a slurping noise after, resulting in Claudia smiling. "And I don't recommend them." Louis added. I chuckled and patted Claudia's shoulders, and we soon made our way.

(Poor Claudia. But Lestat exposing Louis though! He needa chill! i hope you guys enjoyed this! See you soon)!
