(More Louis moments incoming! I hope you guys will enjoy this)!

That night, Louis slept in a coffin for the first time. When he awoke, Lestat and I greeted him.

"How'd you sleep?" I asked. "I slept a little well. I was a bit uncomfortable though." Louis responded. "I can imagine. Coffins take some getting used to. You'll get used to it." I reassured. Louis nodded in understanding. I've been a vampire for six years so of course, I knew I had to do some teaching.

Louis would have to grow used to Lestat and I's romantic gestures and nicknames. He was absolutely bewildered seeing us.

That night, there was a festival of some sort that was happening. I sat in between Lestat and Louis at a tavern, hidden away from the rest of the people. A young girl who worked at the tavern came to us and sat between Lestat and I. She poured Lestat some alcohol. I glared at her, feeling pangs of jealousy.

Lestat began flirting with her, which further triggered my jealousy. I knew it was Lestat's job to flirt with girls so that he could get their blood, but I couldn't help but feel jealous. However, I know Lestat loves me and only does this to feed his hunger. I just need to get over myself.

He leaned in and began to bite down on her neck as she made some sinful noises. He looked over at us, and I could see his mouth was filled with blood. "My friend should taste those lips." He whispered. I looked over at Louis and nodded.

Louis leaned over as the girl began to lean on him. He began to kiss her, and I could see blood streaming down the side of her mouth. He must've bit her tongue or something.

Lestat had a sharp thumb talon that he occasionally used to cut someone's wrist so he could drink the blood. He did that to the girl's wrist and held it to his lips as he gazed at the people, who were ignoring us and focused on either the show going on or their own conversations.

I felt awkward sitting there and not doing anything so I leaned forward and began to kiss Lestat's neck and cheek. I felt him tense up a bit. He looked up at me, blood in his mouth and leaned forward to kiss me. I felt the sweet, tasty blood in my mouth and we kept going until Louis piped up.

"I will not take her life." He said. We stopped our little shenanigans and looked at him and the unconscious girl in his arms. "I've done it for you." Lestat began, taking the girl. "She's as dead as the dawn, my friend." He finished as he put her head on the table and tossed two coins by her. She was in fact dead. I kind of felt bad but then again, I didn't, considering her flirtatious actions with Lestat.

That night, we made our way to Louis' mansion. We sat at the dinner table, Lestat and Louis across from each other with me sitting in the middle. There was food on the table, and I ate it to not look suspicious. It tasted way different than before I was turned. It was severely lacking, but I still kept eating.

"It's so easy, you almost feel sorry for them. You'll get used to killing, just forget about that mortal coil. You'll become accustomed to things all too quickly." Lestat said. I nodded in agreement. I was about to open my mouth to say something when Louis' house slave walked in. That's one thing about Louis that I didn't like. The mansion was a plantation, and he owned it and had slaves. I despise slavery so much.

"Are you not hungry, sir?" She asked. I gazed at her in astonishment, wishing to be as beautiful as her. "Au contraire, mon cher, he could eat the whole colony." Lestat jokes, laughing afterwards. He covered his mouth as he laughed so she wouldn't see his fangs. I bit my lips to avoid laughing and gazed at him to get him to shut up.

She went to take Louis's plate but he stopped her by grabbing her wrist, resulting in a gasp from her. He gazed at her neck for a moment. "I'll finish it, Yvette. Now leave us." Louis said. Yvette rushed out of the room.

"Can't you pretend, you fool? Don't give the game away. We're lucky to have such a home." Lestat teased. We heard a squeak on the ground. It was a rat. Before I could react, Lestat grabbed it. He held it and gazed at it for a moment before biting its neck. I widened my eyes. What the fuck?

He poured the blood into the glass as I stared in bewilderment. "Pretend to drink, at least. Such fine crystal shouldn't go to waste." Lestat muttered, draining the poor rat of its blood. He passed the glass to Louis, who stared at it for a moment.

He began to drink it but spit it out into the glass. "I know. It gets cold so quickly." I said. "You can live like this? Off the blood of animals?" Louis asked us in shock. "I wouldn't call it living. I call it surviving. Useful trick if you're caught for a month on a ship at sea." I countered. Louis chugged the blood.

"There's nothing in this world now that doesn't hold some–" Lestat started. "Fascination." Louis interrupted. "Yes. No more of this rat." Lestat mumbled, throwing the rat to the side. "We can live without taking human life, it's possible?" Louis speculated.

"Anything is possible. Just try it for a week." Lestat expressed, standing up. "Come into New Orleans. Let me show you some new sport." Lestat concluded.

This was going to be fun.

(The poor rat. XD I hope you guys enjoyed this! See you next week)!
