The Line Between Light And Dark

Ch 17. Relapse

Izuku took a deep breath, before pushing the front door of Nighteye's agency open. Taking a step into the building he spotted the green haired man talking to someone at the front desk, they appeared to be quite annoyed with something. So he just walked up and paused just within hearing distance, trying to avoid looking at the man.

~ Um, Sir Nighteye? ~ Izuku signed once he had clapped to gain Nighteye's attention, breaking the argument and the green haired man narrowed their eyes.

"Ah, Izuku Midoriya." Nighteye greeted with a slight look of irritation." How nice to meet you, if you follow me then we can go to my office and discuss how this...internship will go."

Izuku had a feeling this wasn't just about internships, but he had to listen and so he followed them to their office. Though he kept his entire form tense in case this was a trap, but he was almost positive the Hero wouldn't attack outright.

As soon as he entered the room he was floored by the sheer amount of All Might merch inside, this guy had an obsession with Yagi. It brought bad memories of his obsession with his little brother, even if he wasn't as obvious about it from an outward perspective. He swallowed, hoping this wouldn't effect how things went.

"So, Yagi told me some interesting information...All For One." Nighteye stated, once they had sat down in their desk chair.

Izuku glared at the man, he refused to be called that anymore. All For One died that day in the fight against Yagi, he refused to go down that path again. Not when he had finally gotten a glimpse of light in his life, he would fight to be able to keep that light. Even if the entire community of Pro Heroes was against it, he wouldn't give in to pressure.

~ Do not call me by that wretched name! ~ Izuku signed with a snarl and clenched fists.~ That man died eight or so years ago during the battle against Yagi, my name is Izuku Midoriya or The Redemption Hero - Kōkai. ~

Izuku crossed his arms, letting One For All power around him and create the blue-green lightning aura. Before risking another manoeuvre and activating All For One as well, but to his surprise instead of the red lightning he usually had when using All For One, there was pinkish-purple aura surrounding him.

For a long moment, both he and Nighteye stared at each other and then the man just smirked slightly. Which made him blink, completely taken off guard by the sudden shift in moods.

"I know, Toshinori already explained everything, including the reason he gave you One For All." Nighteye stated, before sighing." It took a lot of arguing and I didn't accept it right off the bat for sure...but the amount of faith he's putting in you is equal to the amount of faith he had in his Master, so despite my reservations, I am accepting my friends wishes to teach you."

~ Damn, future seeing bastard. ~  Izuku signed with irritation.~ You could have mentioned that instead of just pretending to hate me over some test of will, Yagi and my best friend already did that kind of thing. ~

Nighteye chuckled, but gestured to the chair, their golden eyes filled with mirth and Izuku decided that it wasn't worth being upset about. Plus if he let people do their little tests, as long as it hurt nobody...then he was fine with it. It gave him a good idea of whether he was changing and what he needed to work on, so all in all it wasn't awful to get these little tests.

"So what are you looking to learn for the most part?" Nighteye asked and Izuku blinked, hadn't Yagi told them about that?

~ Well, I am already pretty adept with All For One, but I need training with One For All as I am currently only able to use just under half of the Quirk. ~ Izuku admitted with a sigh, before hesitating.~ I also want to...work at using All For One and One For All together, but I need extreme supervision as it might increase my Quirk side-effects if I am not careful. ~
