Graduation

After gruelling years of elementary education and trying years of high school, Tam, Pop, Sak and Dao were finally graduating. All of their families joined together to have a celebratory meal after the graduation itself. But the group plan to have their own celebration after the meal.

They were in Dao's house where they were planning their after-graduation party. All four of them were planning it because it will be like a celebration of their friendship as well. They would probably have it on the tree house it was the safest place. Though Dao will also attend an all-girls' night out party, she will first celebrate with the boys then leave later to join her friends at their own party.

Tam and Sak were preparing the meat for the barbecue while Pop and Dao were the ones who were in charge of the drinks, so they were not there yet. Considering that some of the drinks they were having were alcoholic, they had to ask permission from their parents, who were agreeable to their plan to drink provided that they stay only at the tree house. That was the agreement. There would be no sojourn outside of the tree house especially not to the lake when they had something to drink.

The kids readily agreed knowing that it was going to be way too dangerous to even try to swim if they were drinking. Kam was still in school but would be joining them later. Kam was also given permission to drink, nothing too hard for them but it is only mainly beer and wine.

The tree house was already decorated and lighted all around. Khun Soon had helped them put up the lights and the other decorations since the adults were afraid that another accident may happen.

Pop, Sak and Tam were all very good-looking young men, all in the cusp of their youth.

Kam arrived in the late afternoon. He started playing around and teasing the other boys while they were preparing the meat for the grill. Dao was just smiling at them while she prepared the vegetables that will accompany the meat being grilled for their early dinner. She was just staying to eat for a bit because she was also going to join her friends at their graduation party and a sleep over.

Dao looked at the number of beer bottles being placed in the chiller by Sak, 'Are you sure that you can finish off all of those? Isn't that way too many?' She was also worried about her brother who was only fifteen and would be staying with the big boys when she leaves for the party.

Sak said, 'We are big boys we can handle it for sure.' Sak then smiled at Dao while her brows furrowed slightly. 'Oh yeah, but you have a minor with you who is only fifteen, remember? I am not worried for you but for my Nong. Can you all be trusted to at least stay not so drunk and watch out for him? Can you make sure that he behaves, and he stays safe here with you?'

Kam frowned at his sister, 'What are you talking about phi? Of course, I will be safe! I have 3 Phis with me. Don't worry about me, I will be fine. Just enjoy your party with your girlfriends.'

The parents including Khun Soon and Pa'Tu came to eat dinner with the graduates as a celebration. The children talked about not having a large party opting just to have this small get together in the tree house. They just want to enjoy the time before they go to college and start the semi-adult life.

Before the elders left, they made the boys promise that they will behave and stay in the tree house no matter what. Dao's Khun Por even brought champagne for them to celebrate with. When the elders left, they took Dao with them because she needed to go to the all-girl's night out party too. Her Khun Por was driving her to her friend's house.

After the elders left, the boys prepared the drinks and just sat down on the floor of the tree house, mostly staring at the moon which was shining brightly over them.
