Sak stayed with Kam for the entire night at the tree house. He just called home and said that he got drunk and had to stay with the Supansun-Tays. He slept in one of the mats that were always there for them. He was glad that Kam had slept through the night. Maybe he was too tired of crying.
Dao woke up early in the morning; she was very worried about her brother. She called Sak last night when he said that Kam had already fallen asleep crying. She wanted to see her brother.
She was so angry at the situation. She wanted to blame someone, but she thought who is really to blame here? It wasn't Kam's fault that he fell in love in Tam, and it was not Tam's fault either that her brother had fallen in love with him. The whole situation was a mess.
She came out of her room wearing her jogging suit. It would at least prevent her parents from asking should they see her come out of the house before breakfast.
She waved and nodded to the maid who greeted her a good morning. She said she was going walking and had asked that her parents be told should they ask.
She rushed to the tree house and climbed up. It was still very early and expected to see her brother sleeping, so she was surprised when she only saw Sak sleeping. Her brother was nowhere to be found. She immediately rushed to Sak.
'Sak! Wake up!' She hit him on his thigh.
Sak was so surprised when he felt a sting on his thigh.
'Hey, what the hell!' Sak started to say only to find Dao glaring at him. 'Dao, what the heck is your problem?'
'My problem? What the hell is your problem? Where is my brother?' She asked worriedly. 'you said he was with you? So where is he?'
'He is sleeping on the bean---, Sak turned to the bean bag only to find it empty. 'What the hell? Where is he?'
'You are asking me? You are the one who was with him, dimwit! How can I answer that stupid question? You said he was with you, that he will be okay with you. You said that it was okay, that I did not need to come.' Sak winced at the pain when Dao hit him on his shoulders.
'Okay, okay, let us calm down for a bit, okay?' Sak was gasping at the pain. 'Ouch, okay stop that, Dao. It is so painful. Stop hitting me.'
'Stop hitting you? Stop hitting you? Why? When you are so dumb like this? Please tell me you know where my brother is?' Dao pleaded.
'Look, Dao, I am sorry, okay?' Sak apologetically grimaced. 'But I swear he was sleeping right here before I fell asleep. I am so sorry for feeling so tired that I fell asleep.' He added sarcastically.
'So, what now, you are being sarcastic with me, Sak?' She glared at Sak. 'Do you want to die now, or do you still want to live to see your children?'
'Okay, okay I give up! Just calm down first and for the life of me stop hitting me. I have sensitive skin you know.' Sak looked around and he saw the blanket he covered Kam with the night before neatly folded in the corner. He also saw Kam's mobile phone right beside it. 'Don't worry, I think he may still be around here somewhere,'
Dao looked at him questioningly and mouthed 'so where?'
Sak scratched his head and and look at Dao cutely, but she only raised her hand again, so he ended up covering his head with both arms.
'Dao, remember when we were in Bristol, what was the first thing that Kam did in the morning?' He asked.
Dao looked at him confusedly. Bristol? She thought. She scratched her neck trying to remember it. 'What, dumb ass?'
