Tam was working on his laptop on the table, while Kam and Dao were eating breakfast, when the elders of the Supasun-Tays arrived.
'Sawasdee kha!' Khun Cha greeted them as he entered the dining room. Khun Tee who was following him, smiled when she saw the trio at the table.
Sak immediately vaulted up to his feet to greet, but Khun Cha waved at hand at him, 'It's alright, sit back down, Sak.'
As Sak sat down, he gave the elders a wai as greeting so did the other three on the table. 'It is so nice to see you all together today.' said Khun Tee as she was being seated by her husband.
'Wow, you are all here so early in the morning?' she continued on, 'I see Tam still has work, Sak no work for today?'
'Oh, I am on leave for 2 days. Off from work. I had nothing better to do at home so I decided to bother your 2 kids, Khun Mae!' He smiled at Dao's mom.
Khun Cha laughed loud, as he received the cup of coffee that Khun Tee handed to him on a saucer. 'I see that Tam is still working.'
'Yes, Khun Por, I am so swamped with work these days. Two of the staff in the office got sick, with the quarter ending and month end reports to make, I was flooded with them. I barely had time to think for the past week.' Tam said.
Khun Cha nodded. 'So what about you, Dao?'
'P'Dao went on a date with P'Nee! She left me alone here, Khun Por!' Kam pouted. 'I was so scared of being alone in the house.' He added.
Sak laughed while Tam snorted. Khun Cha looked sternly at his daughter, while Khun Tee placed a hand over his hand.
Khun Tee looked at her daughter, 'You did? I thought you said you would be home early, what time did you get home?' she asked. 'Did you really leave your brother home alone?'
'Mae, he is exaggerating as usual!' Dao protested. 'I am here, am I not? It is not my fault he was already sleeping when I came home, at least that is what P'Nook said.'
Sak laughed at Kam, 'Besides what are you complaining about from what I heard, you weren't even home alone last night, right?' He said teasingly. 'Ouch!'
Khun Tee and Khun Cha abruptly looked at him in confusion. 'Are you okay, Phi?' Kam asked Sak.
'Of course, he is fine.' Dao widened her eyes at him threateningly. 'Aren't you, Sak?' She tried to kick him again. He nodded almost immediately.
Khun Tee and Khun Cha smiled looked at them and then smiled at each other, then turned to Tam. 'Your Mae told us about your plans to get married, Tam?'
The elders didn't notice Dao and Sak turn to each other and both of them looked at Kam, who suddenly looked down and slightly scratching his head.
'Yes, Khun Por. Siri and I agreed to get married, but we have not discussed anything yet. I have been so swamped with work at the office really. I barely have time when I get home, just eat, change and then sleep after that back to work again.' Tam explained.
'Khun Pa'Tu and your Mae will do the party? I mean, plan the engagement party?' Khun Tee asked.
Dao looked at Sak and then motioned to Kam who was grimacing a bit and started biting his lips.
'Yes, Mae. Pa'Tu volunteered to cook for the party since I didn't want to hold it at a hotel.' Tam said. 'She also mentioned that Kam requested to cook for his welcome party too since he requested it.'
