Tam and Dao decided to walk back to the house after another half an hour. Both trying to settle down and calm their emotions. Dao kept looking at Tam who kept sighing and rubbing the bridge of his nose, a habit he does when he is either shy or stressed. Dao was betting that it was more of the latter than the former, she blew air through her mouth to ease the tension she was feeling.
They were nearing the bend going to the driveway when Dao turned to Tam, 'Tam, please don't talk to Kam yet. Let him be the one to come to you.'
Tam looked at her intently and and sighed. He nodded and she gave a sigh of relief. They both entered the house and saw Sak sitting in the living room reading.
'Oh, so where did the two of you go?' Sak asked.
Tam looked at Dao and shrugged, he went to the dining room where he left his laptop. Sak raised an eyebrow at Dao, to which she replied by raising a hand indicating that he wait.
They both turned to Tam when he walked out of the dining room and continued walking to the door Sak was about to say something, but a shake of Dao's head stopped him.
Dao allowed herself to fall on the bean bag in the corner, putting an arm over her forehead, she sighed. 'Dao? What happened? Is Tam, okay?'
'Where is my brother?' she asked.
'He wanted to go to the mall. He insisted that your parents go with him.' Sak smiled at the memory of how Kam whined until his parents agreed to come with him. He turned to Dao again 'So? What happened?' Where did you and Tam go?'
'In the garden, we just talked.' She replied.
'Okay, so you talked. Why does it seem to me that Tam was angry?' Sak asked.
'He is. Believe me he is very angry.' She answered softly.
'Angry at whom?' Sak looked at Dao intently. 'At you? She nodded, 'Why was he angry at you?'
'He didn't like the things I told him. It was all messed up, I am so confused right now, I was sure I was doing the right thing, but at the moment, I have doubts.' Dao said.
Sak looked at Dao suspiciously, 'Dao, what did you say? What did you tell him?' He was curious because Tam rarely loses control of his temper and he was always cool, the only time Tam will lose his temper is if it involves K---'Sak halted in his thoughts and what he was saying and turned to Dao. 'Dao! What did you tell him? Is it about Kam?'
'Yes! I told him the reason why Kam left.' Dao said.
'What?' Sak stood up from where he was sitting, walked in front of Dao and said, 'Stand up.'
Dao looked at him very surprised. 'What? Why?' She didn't understand why he seems very angry at him. Is this get angry at Dao day she thought?
'I said, stand up! Get up now, Dao!' Sak said firmly.
Dao stood up gingerly, she was so surprised when Sak grabbed her arm and proceeded to pull her out of the house through the living room door.
'Sak, stop! Wait, where are we going?' She asked. She tried pulling her arm out of his grip, but it was too strong. He pulled her some until they were at the sunflower garden, the opposite side. Sak then looked around, before sitting on the wooden bench. He then looked at Dao and motioned her to sit down with her eyes.
'Tell me again what you said inside the house.' He asked. 'Please tell me, you did not do anything stupid today, Dao.'
She glared at him before she answered. 'I said, I told Tam why Kam left.'
