Kam was born when Dao and Tam were three years old. Khun Mae labored for 18 hours before he was born. There were so many complications that they were really happy that he came out so well. Unfortunately, Khun Mae can no longer have children after Kam so; he became all the more precious to them. He was the baby that they almost lost and he was also going to the last baby of the family.
Tam was the first one to hold Kam when they went to the hospital. Dao was with Tam's parents when Kam was born, so they naturally took him with them to go to visit Dao's mother and baby brother.
Kam was the cutest baby. He was very white, and his cheeks were so pink and chubby. When Tam had held him the first time, his eyes opened, and he was mesmerized by those tiny eyes that seemed to smile at him. Even though he was too young to even smile at that age, Tam was sure that he smiled at him.
Tam was turning four when he met Kam the first time, he distinctly remembered the words he said to him, 'I would be your person for life. I promise I will take care of you no matter what happens.' He panicked when Kam suddenly cried so loudly. 'What is wrong with him? Is he hurt? I swear I did not do anything to him.'
Their parents just laughed, Dao's khun mae just said, 'No, luk , he is just hungry. He is fine.'
Since that day, Tam had been a permanent fixture in the Supasun-Tay household. He would always come there after school to check on the baby, much to the amusement of Dao's Khun Mae. He would always help clean up or watch as the baby is fed or changed or even bathed. He loved touching the baby's hands or holding him when his mom allows him to.
The situation changed when Kam had been of school age and was admitted to kindergarten. It was now Kam who became a permanent fixture in Kunnawit household. Kam would go home with Tam after school and stay there playing along with Dao. This was the arrangement they had, while their parents were at work. Both children did not want to stay in the house with just the help so this was their choice.
The Kunnawit family loved the inclusion of the Supasun-Tay kids into their household. It was always fun to have them both especially Kam, who was energetic, fun loving and a prankster of the first calibre.
The elders find it so funny how someone as small as Kam could totally decimate both Tam and Dao combined when it comes to pranks. They were always defeated when they play games; the elders suspect that although Dao doesn't give up easily, Tam doesn't want Kam to suffer much and would always give up the moment he sees Kam struggle at the very least.
Kam loves to play hide and seek. There is this one way of their playing, where the IT person would count from 1-30 as the other people hid. Tam remembered the first time he tried to show this game to Kam. He was so scared. He almost cried.
Flashback
'Are you sure this is safe?' Kam was worried that Tam would not look for him and might get lost especially since it was dark.
'Don't be afraid, Kam,' Tam assured him. 'I will find you and if you get lost, I will never stop looking for you, I promise.'
Kam had so much fun playing that game the first time. Now, He would always force Tam to play this with him even if there was just the 2 of them.
'P' Tam, hide and seek again?' Tam replied 'No!'
'Yes, why not?' he asked.
'It is because we keep playing this game.' Tam answered
'Come on!!! Go and count! I need to hide,' Kam whined.
Dao was just looking at them giggling. She wriggled her fingers at Tam then stuck out her tongue at him.
