Tam came home after work. Now that he had agreed to marry Siri. He decided that to go home and tell his parents. He came into the house and found them sitting at the dining table. Like the Supasun-Tay, his family also try to eat together at least 2x a day. Tam smiled when he remembered that it was Kam that insisted it was tradition in their family apparently.

'Sawasdee krub!, he greeted them before settling down on his seat.

'Sawasdee, luk!' Khun Tip greeted him; she was seated in the table already. 'How was your work?'

'Work was okay, Mae!' Tam looked at his parents and he was again reminded of what he needed to tell them. 'I will go get changed and I have something to say to everybody.'

Tam stood up and went up the stairs going to his room to change clothes.

Khun Tip and Khun Det looked at each other wondering what their son would be telling them.

They continued eating while waiting for their son. Tam came down the stairs and went back into the dining room. His parents were already done eating; Khun Det was drinking his one and only daily dose of coffee while Khun Tip was savouring her tea.

'Tea, luk?' Khun Tip offered her son. Tam nodded and she poured him a cup of tea.

'Thanks, Mae!' Tam said as he accepted the cup, she handed out to him.

'So, you wanted to tell us something?' Khun Det asked Tam.

'Yes.' Tam cleared his throat and looked at his parents. 'Siri and I decided to get married.' Tam picked up his cup of tea that he did not notice his parents giving each other strange looks.

'Oh! That is great news!' Khun Tip said. She smiled at her son and nodded at her husband.

'Congratulations, luk!' Khun Det said. 'When do you plan to have it?'

'Siri and I have not talked about the date yet, she will still have to tell her parents. She said that they have been asking her for quite some time now.' Tam explained.

'So we will have the engagement to plan?' Khun Tip smiled at her son. 'I will ask Pa'Tu for suggestions to make it more fun or would you rather have it at a hotel?'

'Mae, anything you and Pa'Tu could come up with will be okay. You are great in organizing parties.'

'Okay, tell me when and I will have Pa'Tu plan the menu for the engagement party. I guess we will be very busy with 2 parties to plan.'

'Two parties?' Tam asked. 'What two parties?'

'Oh, Khun Cha and Khun Tee were planning to have a welcome party for Kam. Pa'Tu was asked to prepare a menu because Kam loved her cooking and missed it so much, so he requested that she cook some of his favourite dishes.' Khun Tip said.

'But Pa'Tu volunteered to cook the entire menu for the night.' Khun Det laughingly added.

'No doubt about the fact that Kam loves Pa'Tu's cooking; he would always beg to bring leftovers here to take home.' Tam laughed.

Khun Tip and Khun Det laughed out loud.

Suddenly there was a sound of the door opening, and laughter was also heard coming in.

'Phi Sak, that is a ridiculous idea!!' Kam's voice can be heard.

'I bet, Nong Sak would want another version of that one, Nong Kam!' It was Pa'Tu's voice.
