"You issue this challenge, there is no going back, father. Please don't do this. Just leave. Please!"

Atalanta gently brushed her fingers over the necklace as she watched the king argue with his niece.

Eowyn was arguing that they go back and find Aragorn's body. That it was not right to leave him.

"You already lost two children...Don't make yourself lose a third father."

"My lady?"

Atalanta looked to the man calling her attention and she suddenly feels a bit out of it. As if she needed air. As if her lungs were not working.

"What?"

"We need to send for Aragorn's body! It's not right!" Eowyn fought and Atalanta just sagged against the wall she was leaning against. Her hand was firmly around the necklace.

"To go back out is too great of a risk. I know you cared for him, and so did I but we cannot go back." She spoke and Eowyn just glared harshly at the woman.

"If cared about him at all you wouldn't have dropped him!" She hissed and Atalanta sucked in a breath. It struck her right in the heart and Legolas was immediately at her side.

"Eowyn that is enough! We are not going out there!"

Théoden boomed to his niece who huffed a breath and walked away. Théoden dragged a hand over his face before turning to Atalanta.

Yet before Théoden could even open his mouth to apologize to her, Atalanta for Eowyn behavior and words, she walked out of the main room. Her head swarmed with memories.

The two fighting brought so much out. Brought so many buried memories to the surface.

Atalanta climbed the stairs off to the side. Her simple blue dress holding Rohan's symbol clung to her.

She made it till she was at the very top towards the horn at the top of Helms Deep.

She sat at the edge and looked on into the valley ahead of her. Her eyes went from stark blue to a vivid violet. The scales slightly covering her face as her talons came forward.

"By my beard..."

Her eyes snapped over to Gimli who was standing there just staring.
