CH 4: Confusion (ENG)

"Honey, I'm home." That night, Job, who had just come home from work, found his boyfriend sitting at the dining table, with 2 cups of coffee which still steaming. Bas sat there quietly, propping his chin with one hand. His gaze was blank, as if he was contemplating something.

Job frowned in confusion, looking at Bas who was still lost in thought. He then immediately approached his lover.

"Bas..." He said as he patted Bas' head.

Bas immediately woke up from his daydream and looked at Job who was now standing in front of him. "Hey, you're home?" Ask Bas.

"Hm. What's wrong, honey? You don't even notice me when I walk in just now."

"Sorry, Job," Bas sighed, then took Job's briefcase from his boyfriend's hand. He also held out a cup of hot coffee that he had been prepared for Job. "By the way, you always come home early, lately. No work in the Office?"

"Actually... a lot. But for some reason, lately Mile has been always want to go home early. He even took all his work home."

"Hm, very weird. Usually when there's a lot of work, he likes to lock you in the office until late night, didn't he?" Bas said.

"I don't even know what is wrong with him. Maybe, lately, there are more interesting things at his house," Job said, shrugging his shoulders and smiling meaningfully. "Eh, you didn't answer my question yet. Why were you daydreaming? What are you thinking?"

"Nothing. I... just worried about Apo. Is he okay? I haven't heard a news from him since he worked at P'Mile's house."

Job then smiled, "Ooohh... about that." he said.

"Can he handle Barcode?"

"I think he can, Bas." Job said, then sat down beside Bas. "Lately, Mile likes to tell me about Apo."

Bas frowned, intrigued. "Really?"

Job nodded. "He's always bragging, about how extraordinary Apo was in dealing with Barcode's behaviour. And also how much Barcode likes Apo."

"Hm? Are you serious?"

"Hmm. And he said, Barcode really likes Apo, because Apo's cooking is very delicious. Hahahaha..."

Bas laughed softly, "Oh, then I'm not surprised. That kid is really good at cooking. Then, how about P'Mile? Is there a problem?"

"Judging from Mile's expression that turned into a happy smile, like someone in love, for the past few days, it seems that everything is fine, at least for now." Answer Job. Bas laughed. "You know Bas, I know Mile for a years. But I've never seen this side of him. He looks so... how to say.... Emm... very happy, perhaps."

Bas nodded understanding his boyfriend's words. "Do you think P'Mile still loves Apo, Job?"

"I think so, honey. But... you know the situation, right? He could no longer think of himself. Barcode's decision, is also become a very important consideration for him."

"Hmm, I know. But I'm still worried, Job. You know, Apo has always said that he doesn't want a romantic relationship with anyone, and it's all because he was hurt by someone in his past, which is it's turned out to be P'Mile. So I'm still worried that their past will affect their lives now."

"I understand your concern, Bas. But I think, Apo and Mile are fine. Maybe, they have come to terms with what happened in their past. Decided to forget everything and move on with their own lives, without bringing up the past again."

"You think so?"

Job shrugged. "I don't know either. The only ones who can answer this question is them." Job said again. Bas nodded slowly. "If you're still worried about Apo, why don't you just call him?"
